Gomez seriously needs to stay switched on. He's cost us 2 goals again.

He's never been the same since those injuries. Sad, but he's not good enough.

We seem to think we can get away with high intensity for 20 minutes and then sleep out the rest of the match.

5 goals without reply, probably one of the most, if not the most embarrasing matches we've ever played at Anfield in the CL.

Jurgen has some hard decisions to make this summer. This team is toast and it needs major changes.

If klopp doesn't move people on. They will end up moving him on with these awful performances because his position will end up untenable.

It needed major changes last summer. We've had this coming all season.

You're right. And laying blame for that is difficult without knowing what goes on behind the scenes.

Has Klopp been too loyal to his players and hesitated from making big decisions? Or is the blame with our owners over the past 2 years?

Who knows. But we have big problems and Gomez, Matip, Henderson, Milner, Fabinho, Ox and Keita are not what's required.

Absolutely disastrous to say the least. I thought after 2 consecutive wins in Epl and the 2-0 firing start we may have finally got a bit of the mojo back.

Even if you look at the Newcastle match it was just papering over the cracks. Against thier 10 men we were shyte.

Real madrid thrashing us was a feking insult this evening, they've already got our number and gave us a lesson. It was like thinking you could beat up your older brother with 2 jabs and then awaiting for him to unleash hell.

Pathetic to say the least, this team is done, turning the corner yeah right!

Just deflated after watching that. Absolute brilliant start and it was looking like we were going to run out 5.2 winners. Good pace, plenty of hunting and pressing and to go 2 up was deserved. Then we took the foot off and fell apart. Panic stations kicked in after they drew level and we got humbled.

Subs made no difference again. I would have left either Gakpo or Nunez on and hauled Salah off. Jota struggled a bit while Bobby did get stuck in but just kept losing out with a yard or final pass.

We haven't a chance of going there and scoring a heap without reply.

Men against boys in that second half. 2-0 down after 14 mins is usually a mountain to climb for the opposition at Anfield but never really felt like Madrid were really rattled.

They played themselves into the game and started to get a grip. Yes technically they were great but think the biggest disspaointment for me was I actually thought they were more eager and aggressive than us a lot of the time.

Our midfield is just not good enough and I was worried about Vini Jr up against Trent today because it was Gomez as the covering defender next to him.

Was euphoric after we scored those 2 goals but probably one of the worst if not th3 worst European nights I can remember at home.

Clear we are in a transitional phase now and we have some crucial tranfer windows coming up.
