Happy with the 3 points but this sort of performande won't cut it against Real. Alisson best player for us even though the match should have been over by the 20th minute.

On a positive note, I'd say two new midfielders, or even one, in the next trasfer window and we're good. Doesn't even have to be Bellingham or some other £100m+ player, they'd just need to be willing to put a shift in.

And on another positive note, we're now 6 points away from 4th, with a game in hand. Top 4 definitely still on for us.

Yup we can still get something from this season, just need the consistency. Players coming back from injury and finally gaining some momentum.

I feel we needed a few more games of consistency to sort out our shyte before the Real match. Really need to get a good positive performance in the first leg and take it on from there.

Thought Mo put in a good performance today. His pass for the second goal was world class. Hopefully our front 3 will start to click.

He hasn’t played a competitive match since his loan when he was still with us.

We didn't start the best and Newcastle had a couple of really good chances.. Alisson was unbelievable today and showed why he's the best at 1vs1 in world football.

We were clinical again uptop and the 3 are really starting to link well together. Gakpo is starting to impress me now, he's always wanting the ball and he's becoming the link between midfield and the forwards.

The game was over at 2-0 or so it should have been. We 100% took the foot off the pedal, I think alot of that has to do with the big game Tuesday obviously. We didn't look comfortable controlling the game and seeing it out.. we gave away too many chances being too casual on the ball.

But we needed 3 points yesterday, and we got the job done. Onto the next one.

Given how poor we have been lately that turned out to be a great result. Far from perfect but nonetheless a good win.

Ali Motm for us. Some great stops there to keep the confidence up.

Only complaint I have is that the subs didn't change anything and we brought on 4 in one hit. At that point against 10 men who were tiring we should have gained that extra edge and pushed on to kill the game off.

Massive game on Tuesday.
