So we face the "super team", we've had some epic battles with them and I'm certain this one will be another.
The goal spree against Rangers does help but the acid test is on Sunday.

How do we contain KDB and Haaland?? Everyone has to be on their A game if we want a positive result. This will be a nervy one for sure but somehow I've got a glitch we will come out as victors.

Common redmen, season begins here....

Keeping a clean sheet for the first 15mins would be a start. Having to make a comeback in almost every game this season has cost us big time.

Looks like Konate is struggling to be ready for Sunday. If he's out I'm sure Gomez will play CB with Virg. I just hope Milner doesn't start at RB.. if he does then we are in serious trouble.

Absolute disaster if Milner is RB and not a lot better with Gomez either. Joe is alright there but he will struggle against this lot.

Definitely think we will be up for it and will have possession but this will come down to who takes their chances. Don't think either side will have a lot tbh but we have got to man mark Haaland. Double up on him if we have to but can't give him an inch.

Hopefully we go at them hard right from the off and don't let them settle. Beating these could be the kick start we need.

Every match we play I always think we are going to win, I’m a little less optimistic on this one just in light of how the season has gone and how we have been playing. If we are able to get a result we will need some inspired performances from some of our players, the chips are down so let’s see who shows up. All the talk of Haaland but it’s KDB that we need to worry about, Haaland doesn’t make chances, he just puts them away. Stop KDB and it makes it much easier to stop Haaland.

If that is not enough, expect some bull sh1t decision to go their way.

Our form this season suggests we'll lose 3-1 so I'll be happy to take a point. Time for Mo to take control of the situation and stay out by the corner flag.

No doubt about Man Cities quality. At any other time I'd say this game would be 50/50, BUT given our form so far this season , and I hate to say it,  a point today would be a welcome result

Goes without saying we need a massive performance from our lads today. A win would have me in f*cking dreamland  :buttrock

Milner starts RB, Elliott in instead of Hendo in a midfield 3 with Thiago and Fab.

No Nunez with the front 3 of Bobby, Salah, Jota.

We could get hammered here.

Liverpool team news
Team to play Man City: Alisson, Milner, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Thiago, Elliott, Fabinho, Salah, Firmino, Jota.

Subs: Kelleher, Henderson, Jones, Tsimikas, Nunez, Carvalho, Bajcetic, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold.

MILNER AT RB HAS JUST COST US THE GAME WITHOUT A BALL BEING KICKED IMO.

Seriously, what chance does he have against Foden and Cancelo?

Strange line up. Gomez is already struggling against Haaland. Where's Konate?

Harvey Elliott is really impressing me.. wasn't sure I'd he'd be able to make the grade with his size, but he's really tidy in his work.

Good first half

What a miss from Jota. Got to take chances like that.
