What a player Diaz is. And what a half time team talk from the Boss.

Great comeback.

I think Villareal ran out of steam. They were all over us in the first half and their legs have gone in the second 45.

Great performance. And truly a game of two halfs.

Third final in five years. What an achievement.

Awful first half but fantastic second. Kudos to Villareal who went right at us in the first half but it was always going to be difficult for them to keep that tempo up.

Anyway, we're through to the final!

Anyway, bringing on Diaz was the right call. Hope he can make the difference.

Some people just pin their colours to the mast early on in a players career and then keep trying to scapegoat him. People have done that with Henderson, Keita, etc. No one was good in that first half and all the midfielders kept giving the ball away so strange to single out Keita.

They didn't pace themselves and gassed themselves out in the first half. We were a little rattled by that early goal. But back to normal service in the 2nd half.

Not sure they gassed out or their manager told them to back off as Villareal seemed to come out the second half without the same intensity in unison, an any case it is a great result getting to the final. I suppose if I had to choose who we play I’d say Real as I’m sick of City and we need some revenge for the last time we played them. It would be great for City to have no chance and get knocked out now, in the process maybe slipping in the prem as well.

Have you ever seen two more different halves of football? We got overrun in the first half and seemed to panic. Thiago in particular lost the ball countless times but Naby wasn't any better. We couldn't keep possession which is a hallmark of our game. Ingenious by Jurgen again, everyone of us would have changed the midfield and while Diaz for Jota seemed the right thing to do, I didn't expect it to transform the game in the way it did. It was like watching the normal Liverpool again and we got so much more time on the ball. Agree with Mo and those above who want Real in the final - we owe them, especially the thug Ramos for his assault on Mo 3 years ago. What a season, I would just love to see City mess up in the league. On to another tough match on Saturday in a weird evening slot - atmosphere should be good for that one!
