I'd written him off last season with rhe injuries. But he's played really well this season and stayed fit.

Matip has played 32 games so far this season...first time he's done that in 4 years!

All the games with Arsenal this season, Matinelli have been Arsenal's stand out player, miles ahead of Saka and Smith Rowe

Agreed on Matip, had a great game today and possibly candidate for MOTM. He even bailed out van Dijk once or twice!

Fantastic result. There's still a lot to play but this was an important win that will put a lot of pressure on City.

Big win that, got to hand it to this generation of Liverpool players, when it's time to stand up and be counted more often than not they deliver.

I was certainly uncomfortable in the first half as they seem to have a lot of the play. That Martinelli has been a handful every we time we played them, really seem to have Trent in his pocket. Nevertheless we prevailed and roll on, add to that another clean sheet, what a keeper Allison is  :buttrock

Agree with Matip as the MOTM

Matip had a fantastic game. VVD was his usual impressive self. For me though it was Fabinho the disrupter who constantly broke down Arsenal’s attack that makes are life so much more comfortable. The addition of VVD, Fabinho and Alison are the key reasons for our success. Thank you Coutinho and the owners for reinvesting the money from the sale !!

Solid win a good three points against a much improved Arsenal side, I thought Robbo and Fabiano were really outstanding.

Good Luck Lads

The manager deserve's a hell of a lot of credit for instilling such a great mentality in them, even when things aren't going our way the lads know how to stay in games.
First half yesterday was heavy going but they didn't panic, they stuck in there.
We've had some great players and good teams over the last 30 years but I think the never-say-die attitude this current squad have inherited from the manager was that elusive "missing factor X" that those other teams lacked.
