Can't be arsed starting another thread BUT ! can someone please tell me the last time we scored from a corner !

We press, we dominate, we get corner after corner and it seems we still can't convert one into a goal .

It's been going on for a long time now. Teams of lesser quality are putting us to shame when it comes to taking advantage of the opportunity that a corner kick presents.

We've apparently got a "throw in specialist"      I suggest we get a "specialist " who will improve our dead ball situations , especially corner kicks !   

That is something that bugs me also, the amount of times we get a corner and are unable to get it past the first man. It is like the lads just can't whip the ball a little further. We've got VVD and Matip to aim for at least. Corners are such a great chance that sadly we waste majority of the time.

We are no.2 in corners this season below City. I wonder how many We've converted compared to them.

Didn't they say on commentary that we'd brought in a "Corner expert" in to help with them?

The only way to improve is to practice, practise and practise. And when you're fed of practising, practise some more.

Yeah, I said it in a different thread a while ago, we've been terrible at taking corners and set pieces in general this season and I honestly don't know why. With the likes of Virgil and Matip in our team you'd honestly expect more from those situations, especially considering we were pretty good at scoring from them not so long ago with more or less the same players.

Interesting one on the corners, we are too predictable. Some teams put their defenders all over the opposition goalie to block him but we use ours to score, I’d say it can be tweaked. On corners we seem to start with our players in a bunch then the players peel off to make space, we never put anyone to harass the goalie, maybe start there.

Re corners - to be fair our players (particularly our CB’s) often get their head to the ball first but 9 times out of 10 it balloons high and wide. We are not bad at actually winning headers just not too clever at directing them.

Sure but we never put someone to pressure the keeper, just to add to the chaos. Our corners are always the same. Our players in a bunch, the two CB peel off and as you say, miss the target. I still feel a little pressure on the goalie will add to the confusion of the defending team.
