Another 3 points, too bad Milan couldn't keep it level with Atletico, would have been 4 points clear at the top.

Yeah they were poor and have been for a few years now. Still you can only beat what is in front of you and we did it convincingly. Could have been more as well in the end. Can't ask for any more than that in an away game in Europe.

Apparently Porto are in the middle of a 35 game unbeaten run domestically so I don't think they are actually that bad but by all accounts they had their reserve keeper in goal yesterday which clearly didn't help their cause, the lad had an absolute 'mare, God only knows what he was doing for that one Bobby tricked in, looked like he said to himself ***** this goalkeeping lark I fancy playing DM.

Porto are a good team but they match up well for us, regardless of the goalie, we were so much better throughout the field

Before we all write Porto off, below is a list of Porto’s goals conceded in past 11 at home games in CL proper:

5 (v Liverpool)
0
1
1
1
4 (v Liverpool)
0
0
0
1
5 (v Liverpool)

Credit to our lads that Porto fell apart.

Porto were surprisingly poor BUT did I hear it right, that they lost their 1st choice CB pairing for this game ?

I know Pepe was injured during the warm up but he's 38 so wether he would have made a difference is debatable. No idea about his CB partner.

Cheers Yakka, thought I heard that both their first choice CB's were unavailable.

While we're still talking about the game.  Anybody, apart from me, disappointed that with the game in the bag Tsimikas didn't get a some game time ?

Love Robbo but there were times when some of his attacking decisions was driving me nuts.

I was surprised Klopp didn't rotate more, but I think it makes sense to play your strongest 11 away against a tricky team like Porto.

100% mate, Robbo's a terrific player but the way we are set up i.e without a creative De Bruyne/Coutinho playmaker type centrally and most of our chances coming from the flanks there is definitely an argument to be made that Kostas should be starting over Robbo, playing Kostas essentially give us an Alexander-Arnold on either flank.
We'd lose a bit defensively and in terms of tenacity etc but we'd gain a lot offensively, Kostas's crosses have a terrific shape to them.
