Chelsea v LIVERPOOL Tue 3rd March 7.45pm KO

This game suddenly becomes important wether you are a fan of the FA Cup or not. A win tomorrow and Saturday’s game will just go down as a blip, if we lose though (especially by 3 or 4 goals) then the media will start to create a narrative that we can do without to be honest.
It’s in our own hands, Chelsea are struggling themselves atm, let’s pick a decent side, go down there and get this show back on the road.

PS - I’d like to see Jurgen win this trophy anyway, he’s a football romantic and historically the FA Cup has a lot of significance. It would be a great trophy for him to have on his CV.

Just watched Jurgen’s press conference from earlier today, reading between the lines it looks like he’s going to put out an half decent team.

If Klopp plays 11 kids then he has himself to blame if we get thumped. This cup is the only thing Lampard has left to possibly win this season, he'll go all out and play a full Chelsea team I'm sure. We need to come back from the Watford defeat with a positive game. I'd play the first team no questions, even though we host Bournemouth this Saturday. I'm sure he'll try be smart and mix it up with first teamers and u23's. It could go horribly wrong.

Hoping for 0-2 to the reds but if he picks an U23 team I'm sure it could be reversed.

We'll need a strong team to win this one but I think Klopp will go for a mixed team of senior back-up players and youngsters.

I think Gomez and Matip will start as our CBs since they didn't play last match. Also, I think Salah might start as well since Elliot isn't with the travelling squad and there is no one else we can play in that position.

Anyway, this might be the sort of team we field:

               Adrian

Williams   Gomez   Matip   Milner

             Chirivella
        Lallana      Jones

    Salah                Origi
             Minamino

I think we’ll be a bit stronger than the first match against Shrewsbury but will reward the best performing youngsters this season with more game time. I’d like to see Williams and Jones start as they are big prospects for next season. The other youngster who has performed really well this year is Chirivella but he’s contract is up in the summer and he’s likely to leave so I’m not too bothered if he doesn’t play. Fabinho looks like he needs the games post injury anyway. Clyne, Henderson, Keita and Shaqiri are injured and Hoever, Van den Berg and Elliott are in Portugal playing for U19s right now. I’d go for this:

                               Adrian

Williams          Matip          van Dijk          Robertson

                              Fabinho
                   Milner               Jones

       Salah                                      Mane
                             Minamino

Bench: Kelleher, Trent, Gomez, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Origi, Firmino

Largely agree, we should play the team that's most likely to give us the win, so I'd rather Allison played (why's he not in your lineup?) and I'd play Gomez (if fit) and Lallana - for Matip and Milner.
