He may have been tempted to rest one or two for Tuesday night given our big lead and City’s problems (may be getting points docked etc) but given they’ve just come back from holiday I think he’ll pick a strong side.
Apparently Mane and Milner are available again, I’d deffo play Sadio, we could do with him having a run out before we face Atletico.

The warm weather camps have disrupted our rhythm in recent seasons I think. So the winter break along with the weather predictions tonight make it tricky.

Fancy Klopp to go full strength and a 3-1 win. Need minutes in Sadio’s legs and I’d like to see Keita get some game time too.

We have had a solid 5 days training at Melwood so should be ok but first half might be a bit off from both sides. Too be honest I'm expecting a pretty poor game if the wind is strong. Klopp won't want players going into the CL game on Tuesday having not played a competitive game for over 2 weeks so I'd expect our strongest 11. Although he might decide to play it careful with Mane and test his hamstring with 20 mins from the bench. Apart from Clyne and Shaq we are at full strength so the likes of Lovren and Lallana might not even make the bench.

LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Subs: Adrian, Lovren, Milner, Fabinho, Lallana, Origi, Mane.

Slight surprise with Fab on the bench ..on the other hand Keita has had very little football this season and could do with another confidence boosting performance.

Mane and Milly fit enough to be on the bench  :grinning:

The weather's not good with a storm arriving, , although it's the same for both sides it does tend to reduce the impact of the more "skillfull/creative " players.

Just hoping the "cloggers" are unable to take advantage of the conditions.

We rarely play well after a break. I'm going for a hard fought 2-0

This is a good call, I don't expect a classic, fluid performance, I think we'll underperform and it will be tighter than we think but we'll win by 2. Good to have football back again, now the count down begins to the big day, I'm hoping for City away.

Conditions far better than anticipated. We should be OK provided we don't get complacent .

3-1 The red men  :buttrock
