I hate to lose to Everton but this season there are bigger fish to fry.

No Minamino ? understandable, but disappointed he didn't at least get a spot on the bench.

I would love it if we progress and even win this competition. However, we don't have the squad to deal with multiple competitions.

Looking forward to see Minamino.

Yep he's there along with a few others but those are the ones that could be seen in the video.

Minamino starts.

Given the 2 line up's we'll do well to keep the scoreline respectable today, as others have mentioned though our priorities lie elsewhere. There's actually a fair bit of pressure on Everton, if they lose they'll never live it down.

A little bit surprised that we are showing very little interest in this competition. Got to say that I feel sorry for the fans that have paid a high price for tickets. I certainly expected us to give Ancelotti a lot more to think about. Why do we need to rest Alison ffs. We don’t play until next Saturday. Surely we could have played a stronger team than this. Should be interesting. Would love us to get a result.

Not surprised by that team at all. It really was a damned if you do damned if you don't situation for Klopp, there really wasn't a right choice for our starting team today.

It is what it is, all we can do is support the team and hope for the best. That Everton line up looks strong though...

Ffs players falling like flies these days. Milner off Laruci on.

Bad news that Milner is injured, he's the most versatile player we have but in fairness he generally seems to be injury resistant, can understand why he started, wish Gomez wasnt on. Makings of a good cup tie and good to see the youngsters pushed.

I think our B team is actually playing pretty well. I really like the look of Elliott and Williams.

A lot of movements and closing down...can see 3 or 4 defenders around him whenever Minamino going on a run

Also good to see Ox on the bench. Was worried he'd be out for a month or two..looks like it was just a minor knock.

Haven't played too bad to be honest, decent performance considering it's our B team while Everton are playing a strong 11.

Only area we've been poor is defence and we were lucky not to concede at least one. Phillips is obviously a poor player and Hoever should have been given the nod instead of him, and Williams and Larouci are young kids and defending isn't really their best quality. But other than that we've been decent in midfield and attack. Lallana is having a good game.
