Chelsea and Leicester both winning means Citeh lie 4th in the table... the pressure is piling up on them. Lose and they remain 4th and have an absolute mountain to climb.

It's now or never as far as I am concerned...go for the jugular and finish this lot off early in the season. Nine points is very likely to be too much for them and both Chelsea and Leicester will be well up for finishing above them as well.

Some have said a draw won't be a bad result and having thought it through I simply cannot agree. This City team are there for the taking if we take a few risks. The reward potential simply is too high not to.

If we play the tepid , turgid stuff of last year and against the Mancs then IMO the title race has four horses in it all of a sudden.

There are just too many reasons to nail this game and the motivation must be there in a nuclear charged, Herculean effort from everyone, the crowd the players, the staff must will this one over the line.

We have failed to win the league in recent seasons because we didn't impose ourselves in key games like this.A draw wouldn't be a disaster for either side but with home advantage and a 9 point lead in sight it's a must win. Even with that advantage it will be incredibly difficult to take the title from City particularly with our busy schedule.

Yeah I agree, i don't think a draw would be a good result either, a 6 point lead with two thirds of the season still to play including a trip to the Etihad wouldn't constitute a title winning lead imo, 9 points wouldn't either tbh but what a 9 point lead would do is put City under incredible pressure not to drop any more points.
They'd basically be playing the rest of the season with the sword of Damocles over their heads, we can remember from our days playing catch up trying to reach the top 4 that it's incredibly difficult to perform week in week out when you know one mistake can tank your season.
A win tomorrow wouldn't win us the title but it would ratchet the pressure up on City to an almost unbearable level. We can't afford to let this opportunity pass, we have to go for it.

I honestly think a win today will derail City's title challenge and give us the cushion we need to get through December's fixture nightmare.  Let's do this!

Despite the fact that in recent years I've come to actually like Sterling as a player and a person, I would dearly love to see him lamped into in the first few challenges. Him and Silva. Nothing dirty, mind. Just a fair 50:50 with a good solid shoulder to whack them into the hoardings.

To all of you going to the game.... Give them hell!!!

It annoys me that City are favourite for this match at Anfield. I think we'll win today, strong starting 11 for me (with slight anxiety over Lovren). 2-1 is my prediction.

Feck you bookies!!!!
