On the balance of play we deserved to win. Should have wrapped up the game well before injury time and on another day we would have scored a handful. Adrian had very little to do all game. Leicester had one shot on target all game !! As for the penalty I couldn’t give a flying fk wether it was or not. Leicester got exactly what they deserved after Choundry’s idiotic foul on Mo. Personally for me it was a penalty all day long and Shearer can keep his somewhat obscure opinions to himself.

It was a clear cut penalty. Shouldn’t even be a debate.

Any wind up merchant arguing it’s not, deserves the same level of attention as that flog AlgyMoon.

I didn't think it was a penalty. Not all contact is a foul. Mane played for it. Not complaining and I won't if it happens to us, and it will. Fantastic result for us today too.

Clear penalty! The Leicester player lost control of the ball in a dangerous area, Mane reacted quicker and the defender then made a poor attempt at a tackle and whacked Mane’s leg and completely missed the ball. The delayed reaction is irrelevant and Shearer, Gray are full of sh1t as they would have asked for a penalty in Mane’s situation.

Mané did possibly delay going down for a split second and for a very simple reason, if he stayed on his feet the ref wouldn’t have given a penalty in a month of Sunday’s !! If anybody thinks that Mane’s play wasn’t disrupted by the unlawful actions of the Leicester player then they need to take a trip to Specsavers

Much needed win at all cost, luck or no luck!, Mane is the most precious striker whole LFC do have.Salah performances important for Klopp give chance to some of the youngsters.  He is injured now he will be missed!

Exactly...there was definitely contact but whether it caused Mane to go down is debatable but any strikers worth his salt would have done the same, especially during injury time no questions. Don't be naive this is a real world we are living in and if you try to be all honorable and be the good boy you'll end up getting the short end of the st boy, every single time.

To Shearer..."Contact sport" my arse then you might as well kick lumps out of your opponents because this is a "contact sport". The saltiness and his hatred against LFC is starting to drip out of his mouth

What shearer meant was that you can touch a player with your foot or hand and not give away a pen or foul everytime it happens.

Besides does anyone really believe that little bit of contact in that situation was enough to send Mane flying forward off his feet like that   :no it wasn't . He felt a bit of contact and went down  :nod

The referees imo are to blame and the pundits dont help the situations either by dissecting multiple replays and saying the ref got it wrong. Half of them think it was the right call and half dont but for me the half that think any sort of contact in the box is a pen obviously never played the game.

It was a soft pen for me with a bit of theatrics from Mane.  Sometimes you get them and sometimes you dont.

I don't recall so much debate going on when the scum got very similar pens in the past, game after game.

It was soft but they tend to give them these days. End of.
