We could have scored 2 goals in injury time itself. So penalty kicks to settle the Shield then. Lucky lucky Citeh...they were hanging on to life

Much better in the second half, but should have scored more than one goal with the chances we had.

Regardless what happens with the pens, we're the winners today.  Look far better and improved as the game went on. We're going to smash Norwich on Friday

I think Origi is almost too calm to play out wide. He slows the game down too much when we counter.

Game over.  Not that fussed...thought we played really well in the second half and looked really good for next Friday. 

I still think we need a new attacker as Origi will not be a long-term option if Salah, Mane or Bobby get injured.  But apart from that, we look ready for the new season.

It proved we are ready for the prem now. We looked so good second half.. Add Mane and we'll be on fire.
