It's going to cost us one of these days. You can bet your bottom dollar Chelsea will be trying to get Hazard down that channel on Sunday, if I can see it I'm sure their analysts can.

That's been TAA's weakness from the beginning... dont think it has improved much...

"That's been TAA's weakness from the beginning"

Let's be fair , the lad is encouraged to get forward at every opportunity, operating as a attacking wing back , if he's "caught out of position" perhaps we should ask "Where's the cover when the lad bombs forward" instead of castigating his positional/defensive awareness.
It's not as if the team don't know the role he's playing   :kungfu:

Yep. We play a more industrious midfield so the fullbacks have as much licence as possible to get forward. As good as Fabinho is when faced with a player in front of him or having to wrap his legs round someone who's getting away, when he has to move side to side on the pitch to cover space and block passing lanes, he's not as good as the likes of Hendo and Gini. I wonder if we do get an attacking mid and Keita becomes a permanent member of the midfield it will mean than Robbo and Trent will need to be a little more reserved.

We didn't do enough to win the war at home and Porto proved capable of exploiting us on their own pitch. One wretched night in Portugal and it can quickly go the other way.

We hit them twice with 2 bullets but not through the heart or head. Porto live to fight another day and we will have to be excellent in Portugal to progress.

Not that we should be complacent but isn't their pitch where we smashed them 5-0?

The tie is not over but it's going to take something special from Porto to get through, not only do they have to score 3 goals to beat us (or 2 and pens) but they have also got the sword of Damocles dangling above their heads in terms of worrying about conceding an away goal. Because they didn't score at Anfield if we score 1 over there they will need 4.
Because of the first leg we will always be in the game, they can be 3-0 up in the 89th minute and they'd still be flapping.

Can't see us not going through. May even play Gomez and Origi.
