The EPL has definitely taken over the Bundesliga in the UCL. Our teams are doing a lot better than the German teams in the past few years.

Origi ? Sturridge ?  Lallana? Never going to fill the front three's boots.

Time for these three to move on at the end of the season, we must have in-depth proper coverage for the front three.

Subs: Sturridge, Origi, Shaqiri, Henderson, Milner, Moreno, Mignolet

It’s a fecking joke that Migs is still on the payroll yet never plays a minute... free money to a cr@p player and the minute he is needed he’ll feck it up.

I know it's only just over a week but it seems ages since we last played.

Is Henderson also injured? They don't say anything about him but also don't have him in their predicted line-up.

Pretty sure he was in the training pictures from Dubai earlier in the week and heard nothing about an injury. Not like a the Standard would have inside info.

Looks like it will be Fabinho next to Matip and a midfield of Henderson, Gini and Keita.

Can't wait for this as it seems sooooo long since we played. The upside is that hopefully the lads are well refreshed and have a game plan worked out to a tee. Not sure what way we are with injuries but the thought of Matip and Lovren at the back scares the absolute shyte out of me. We will need to be on our game protecting the back line and the lads up front need to take their chances.

Its a whole Comedy routine Reg because Moreno, Sturridge, Origi are as bad, plus we just got rid of 2 others in Clyne and Markovic.  :nod Could you just imagine the love Klopp gets from the table they are sat around   With the exception of Clyne the rest should have been gone long ago.

Lovren didn't train today so he won't play. Not sure how I feel about that to be honest. Not a big fan of Lovren, but a combo of Matip and Fabinho in defence doesn't fill me with much confidece either. I'd rather have Fabinho in midfield as well.

Thankfully, they also have a few injuries and suspensions. Roben and Coman are doubtful and Muller is suspended. Lewandowski is still the biggest threat of course, and with no Van Dijk in our defence, I think we'll most certainly concede. Luckly, their defence is also suspect so we just have to score more than them. I'd be happy with a 2-1 to us.

My predicted line-up

Alisson

TAA
Matip
Fabinho
Robo

Hendo
Gini
Keita

Salah
Mane
Firmino/Origi

If he's got a virus he will be kept away from the team but I'd guess he'll still play. Same thing happened with Gini at Bournemouth but just depends how ill he is.
