Lucky to draw we did not play well at all and only the individual brilliance of Salah got us a point.

Spurs dominated the ball and ran us ragged in MF, we just couldn’t sustain any control in the game.

We arent in the best form and hope not strengthening in January doesn’t cost us dearly now.

Our much maligned back 4 did relatively well considering our MF had pretty much gone AWOL, Spurs needed a world class strike and 2 pens to score which is not bad going considering we were completely over run.
We weakened ourselves in January and that was the result, given a football lesson on our own patch.

Agreed, until that bit of magic by salah second half, we never looked like scoring number 2.
The referee is such a bottle boy for not being able to decide but. Himself the two pens.

Poor Bobby did so much running he was knackered second half. You need players of salah quality to produce that bit of magic.

2-2 probably fair result.

Klopp should have replaced Coutinho in January. Real fight on now for 4th place

That doesn't look like a peno. Spurs player made a meal out of it.

What i said...it's the 95th minute and referee need to be 100% sure to give such a decision. What do you think Lemela was interested in playing the ball or just move over to go down? Team of shameless fucking divers this Spuds...so talented yet so unsporting like

Putting the decisions aside, what the hell happened to our game in the 2nd half? Don't know if we were tired but our pressing game seem to just dissapear

That link is telling.  Was there even contact from VVD?? He pulled out of it there and if there is contact it is a feather touch on the back...and Lamela goes down reaching for the back of his leg...

Looking at that it's probably not a pen but tbh I find it hard to get too outraged when we've just been completely played off the park on our own patch. It would have been a smash and grab victory anyway.
No way are we winning that CL if Spurs can do that to us at Anfield.

I don't know what happened to us in the 2nd half. Not seen us getting played off the pitch like that before at home and think it's more down to us

We looked tired, plus hendo, can, milner and Ox are generally garbage.

It does not help.

I don’t think you can do anything except talk about the decisions. It looks like we had a specific plan and it worked great. Wanyama has an absolute wonder goal, which is just unlucky. Same thing happened to us Home to Chelsea-a fluke goal you can do nothing about. Our back four and Karius has a fantastic game. They made few mistakes and completely starved out Kane. Lovren looks so much more comfortable playing with vvd, and I’d like to see the same 4 out next week. Our final pass kept letting us down or we would’ve had a couple in the first half.

I thought Karius was very good today. The wanyama goal was a wonder strike.
No keeper will save that.

2nd half performance was very poor from us i have to admit. Spurs were 1-0 down at half time and knew a loss will put them 5 points adrift. 2nd half they had more fire then us and we struggled a lot. I think we had like 35% possession or something which is poor considering it was at Anfield.

To be fair had Kane scored that fist peno at that point we would've taken a draw.

I guess when you look at the game holistically a draw was a fair result.

The thing is, the way our performance suddenly dropped off in the 2nd half was pretty concerning. It just seemed like we let spurs take control of the game. Rather than spurs doing something different for that too happen, it was more us not doing our own thing. Very strange

After my initial judgment having now looked at the tape it looks as if their was soft too no touch by VVD..And I can't believe that the ref which was close by let the linesman take the call...fcking depressing.
