Let's say it was a 75m worth of mistakes..

In fairness we look really flat from the start. Little to no creativity at all and we need to wake the fook up 2nd half. Off with Chamberlain or Wijnaldum early if things don't improve.

Complacency is definitely an issue today, and we just don't look up to it. Nobody seems very interested. Our most dangerous attacking player in the first half was Matip. They haven't done anything, but they had a lucky break with the ball falling at their feet in the box, and we're down 1-0. We've had chances too- twice for Mane, Salah, even VVD have all had very good opportunities.

Certainly not the first time we've had an absolutely trash first half. I'd rather us play like this in the first than the second, as on quite a few occasions we've come out of the half like a bat out of hell. I thought our 3 CM's against city were unstoppable, but none of them have looked good today. Hope to see Can step up as the captain and drive us forward. I would like to see Lallana sooner rather than later as well- he's always up for it.

And Karius with his egonizing gaze at the ball.. He just doesn't show any heroics ever..

Big 45 mins coming up. Haven't looked sharp in the first half and Salah missed a sitter too....time to bring Lallana on?

Awful first half!! Mane looks like he can't be bothered, he's so slow in possession and keeps getting dispossessed all the time. Games like this is the reason we need to replace Coutinho.. we have no cutting edge, just pressing like headless chickens when we haven't got the ball, and the build up play is way too slow.
