Hero already wow Big Virgil you made us proud. Already he is commanding the box and also every time a corner or set free kick you always feel Virgil will get on the end of it.

Friggin ecstatic with the victory here!!!!!!

Virgil scored the only 75m goal.

My only gripe with our CBs, Virgil and Matip dont have much pace. Other than that. Very good.

Hard fought without our two best players absolutely perfect debut for Van Dijk, Suarez like impact. Always a danger on set pieces.

Never a penalty and Karius not great again really moving away from Siguardssons shot and slow off his line generally.

Robertson excellent and in Virgil maybe a new captain?

No maybe about it. He's head and f**king shoulders above Henderson in every sense. Give him the armband now.

We made heavy weather of that but it was a fairytale ending with big Virgil popping up with the late winner.
Lallana was well off the pace though and Can wasn't far behind him.

Just shows how we struggle to create chances without Coutinho or Salah.
We will have a massive void to fill and a distinct lack of attacking force, when Coutinho departs.

We need more reinforcements other than just keita, as Can, Hendo, Lallana and Ox cannot really score to save their lives.

We need players with that cutting edge, like Lemar

Typical cup game in fairness and how 22 men remained on the field I will never know. We worked hard and kept at it and in the end got our reward    Well in big man!!

Without Phil though we struggled to create anything. Lallana just kept falling over and Ox just has zero end product. Can was in Turin as well.  If phil is off those 3 have got to up their games bigtime.
Anyway bring on Manure 

Virgil showed leadership qualities also, should be made captain soon.

Yup we did struggle to break them down and when Coutinho goes we need the right player or players shall i say to replace him. Salah was missed aswel but having said that Everton did defend very well on a big occasion against their neighbours.

Anyway, let's hope we get man Utd in the draw.
