Thought he looked a lot sharper than he has in previous matches. Would like to see him get the start over Firmino in the CL on Tuesday.

He looked calm and composed on the ball, passing was top notch. I hope the lad scores soon because its been a while. Once he bags a few goals im sure more will follow.

Personally I think we don't utilise Sturridge correctly during games. He should be in a more advanced position inside their box to take advantage but instead he is being limited most of the time by having to drop deep and ends up chasing the play. The last few games from him he has been reduced to pop shots from distance which isn't his forte. Our set up is one that doesn't include a striker 90% of the time and when we do bring one on we don't adjust accordingly.

Sturridge should start instead of firminho, as is a bigger threat on goal, when fully fit. Bringing him off the bench here and there, won't allow him to get any rhythm in his goal scoring.
