LIVERPOOL v Sevilla Wed 13th September

This is a key game in the group, win this and we are well on our way to qualifying. Jurgen said after the City game that Phil is in his plans for this one so hopefully he will start. We need to get that City defeat out of our system and there's no better tonic than a CL night at Anfield.
I read somewhere that the games Mane will miss are Burnley, Leicester and Leicester again in the league cup so assuming that is true apart from Clyne we should be able to field full strength side for this one.

Back into the Champions league, sadly after the humiliating loss on saturday the excitement has kind of gone.

I think Banega is either suspended or injured. Its time to get payback and beat these lot. I don't think Moreno should go anywhere near the starting xi. :D

I'm really hoping Coutinho features in this one. We should have enough uptop to beat these lot.

Should be an easy win.

Well let's just hope we can keep 11 players on the pitch...
Otherwise we're F.U.K.C.E.D!

I think we will win this one comprehensively, going with 3-0 to us.

Seville have got class players all over the pitch, its crucial we don't allow them the time to shift the ball about Sarabia,Navas,Jovetic Ganzo,Banega ,Nasri,Nolito,Vietto Muriel and I haven't even mentioned Konoplyanka that's just from an attacking perspective.

In defense they can mix it up with the quality of defender at their disposal Mercado,Carrico,Mariano, Rami ,Kjaer,Pareja Escudero, and at RB a young Corchia who is catching the eye of some of the top teams in Europe.

I cant wait for tomorrow night to take in our return to this glorious competition  ,but make no mistake we're playing a team littered with quality players and it certainly wont be easy.

Nasri, Jovetic, Konoplyanka left this summer. Think Vietto has gone back to Atletico Madrid to?

Few people say they are not the same like they were with Unai Emry. I'm not sure myself because i don't really follow them.

I must have just clicked on the squad for 2017 then   :;):   So with that in mind ,just Sarabia ,Ganzo, Banega, Correa, Geis ,Navas and Muriel to contain then, two rapid Spaniards ,three very intelligent Argentinian play makers and an extremely pacy Colombian striker capable of the extraordinary and a German free kick specialist    ??? Warning still stands, we could get seriously outmaneuvered through the middle if we allow them the space and time to get into their rhythm.

I'm always nervous at European nights at our place ,because you simply don't know what to expect, buzzing my tits off in anticipation of the atmosphere, but nervous all the same.

I think the players will be more nervous than you - which may prove to be fatal.
Anfield should be their spiritual home, but it's not, as they've done very little to earn the right to call her home.
With that means there will be a nervous feel about the place. Especially if AM adhere to the golden rule and not concede in the first 20 mins.
---
Our squad needs to seriously grow a pair. And fast.
---
That said. Even though FSG have done very little to in-still hope -
I'm positive we will sing with hope in our hearts.
---
THE REDMEN to come out blasting and our frontline will give us enough in the first half to scrap the win.
WE GO AGAIN...
2-1 REDMEN - COME ON!

Sevilla play the pressing game under their new manager and but they are not going to outpress us at Anfield in the evening, especially considering we will be up for making amends for the weekend drubbing. I fancy a 2/3-1 win. Caveat being that we don't see more ***** defending/mistakes from ourselves which gives them a way back into the game.

Salah missed training due to illness so possibly will miss out tomorrow. We've still got enough ammunition to dispatch Sevilla.

Sevilla have 7 points from their first 3 La Liga matches this season;
Sevilla 1-1 Espanyol
Getafe 0-1 Sevilla
Sevilla 3-0 Eibar
Not the most challenging of opponents but a solid start nonetheless. In the 3-0 win on Saturday they played with Nzonzi sitting in front of the back 4, Ganso and Sarabia further forward, Navas and Nolito (the two ex-man city boys) on the wings and a lone striker so they will be asking questions of our full backs.
I'm going for a 3-1 home win, hopefully we score first and then kick on before they get a chance to settle. Mane to score all three

Jurgen said in his pre match prezza yesterday mate that Salah was sent home as a precaution. Mo has a sore throat and the club wanted to give it 24 hours to make sure his sore throat doesn't develop into anything nastier. The club doctor said Mo was fine to train but Jurgen sent him home anyway to stop any potential viruses spreading throughout the squad.
Mo was due to train this morning as per usual and if that sore throat hasn't developed into anything worse he'll probably play tonight.
