So the season finally kicks off after a fun entertaining summer of transfers and drama.

Finally its crunch time again and as ever looking forward to it but very cautiously omtimistic.

Watford are one of those bogey teams you never know what they are capable of.
However i feel we will win our opening game. Our attack will be too much for them to handle.

I feel solanke will feature in this game...   3 nil to the reds

That's the team I reckon he will go with as well, maybe Wijnaldum instead of Can but i can't see it being a million miles away from what you've posted. Well, not unless he tries to be clever and rests one or two for the Hoffenheim game.

We could do with someone like Salah on the bench for this one. First games tend to be difficult and I'd rather start the season with as close a setup as we had last season.

One of the big issue we had last season, particularly against the smaller sides, is that we seemed to lack a plan B when things weren't going our way. Salah with his ability to play wide and bring a more direct approach offers us that. Him and Sturridge coming off the bench for Wijnaldum and Can would be a real game changer for us.

On the other hand, a new exciting signing and more attacking firepower would be nice to watch. With a starting 11 that has Coutinho, Salah, Mane playing behind Firmino or Sturridge I can see us putting sides away in the first 15 mins like we used to do when Suarez-Sturridge-Sterling-Coutinho played together.

Not sure Mane or Can will start. Both joined full training late and I don't think either has completed more than 45 mins in a pre-season game?

For me Mane and Couthino have to start even if we can only get 55 mins out of them, they are vital to the way we play, this would be my 11.

No way I trust Moreno in defence, my faith is going up top with newboy Solanke. He was on fire in preseason while Sturridge was limping off and Origi firing blanks, why disrupt that. Save Firmino for the CL playoff which is a must win.

Mane starts and can come off at 60 mins.

I'd love to say I'm looking forward to this but the off the pitch issues with Phil have put a dampener on it somewhat. Interested to see how we line up without him.

I can't f*cking wait until tomorrow! Bring on the footy! Something like this I'm guessing. Or Milner at left back with Can in his place in midfield.
