I wonder if JK Will take this competition seriously this year, as he seemed to last year reaching the final and losing the way we did

It is certainly a great opportunity for fringe players and youth players to have a good run out

I fully expect to see the likes of Can, Matip, Grujic, Origi, Markovic, Brannagan and co. all get some much needed game time

I really can't see anything other than a comfortable victory for us here, even though JK may have given the impression he was passive I bet my left bollock he ripped the $hit out of the team privately after than defeat on saturday

Bring them on, game time for the squad, bang in some goals and gain confidence and momentum for Spurs

Interesting comment for me is the transfer one as Klopp clearly sees himself as a man who can train players into what we need and thats his main job, and he takes offence at the suggestion you go the easy route into the market to fix it.

Its a nice way to look at it but in the cut throat world of the Premiership seems a little old fashioned, nobody trys to train out failure, there is no time, and I feel its a bit naive of Klopp to think he can keep working this way at Liverpool. Its an approach you would take without any money, bit odd really, perhaps he feels the more he racks up the spend it increases the pressure on him.

As for Burton I was at the Pirelli last season and they where a well organised team, not great individually but fantastic work ethic and organisation, you could say a low level Klopp model. Promotion from L1 on their budget was an incredible achievement.

If we dont turn up they are good enough to cause an upset, small pitch and non league size stadium.
