Granted this is not a full strength LFC side but I reckoned Chelsea this season will be very tough to break down...looks very well organised and stingy, no-nonsense defending back to the days of Gentile and Bergomi era

Liverpool 0  - 1 Chelsea : Full Time

Sloppy goal conceded from a corner, was a decent workout by the lads, chavs very dirty and of course ref a loose canon with many cards

No stand our performers, Ejaria looked good in the first half, Klavan looked composed throughout the match

Firmino scored a perfectly decent goal which should not have been disallowed, saying that he should have scored a few minutes prior to that

That's why I mentioned the likes of Bergomi and Gentile...2 of the dirtiest (albeit very effective) defenders I have ever seen

Haven't seen any of the game but going off the comments it seems our lads got a kick up the @rse after playing a quality side

Not too concerned about pre-season but from what I've read it seems certain issues are persisting - left back and organisation at set plays

Someone needs to flykick Fabregas to death.  :no

Dirty, dirty challenge to be making a meaningless friendly.

Wouldn't expect anything less from these filthy c**ts.

Looks like Grujic had to be taken to hospital and has been suffering from memory loss since the clash of heads. That's terrible news.. looks like Chelsea wanted to send a message.

Chelsea will be a force next year with Conte, it wont be pretty but tactically bang on.

We still need a high end striker in my opinion and in terms of business,  Mane aside, its a lower end recruitment hoping they turn into diamonds.

Sounds like a disappointing performance, losing to Chelsea is never nice but I suppose on the plus side it might make our lads realise that we still have a hell of a lot of work to do. We've got an awful start with games against Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester, Chelsea and United in the first few weeks of the season and we need to be right at it from day 1 so a kick up the @rse like this may be no bad thing in the long run.
I'd much rather lose last nights game than the one at Stamford Bridge on the 16th of September that's for sure.
