Well its three points ,but it certainly wasn't the breeze people make out ,we made hard work out of disposing of an ordinary outfit . Mignolet was forced into making some great saves and Skrtel had to hurl  himself at full stretch to block two definite goals. I thought Allen gave the ball away too much and his first half pass to the opposition nearly led to an Ighalo goal ,in truth albeit from the goal he was guilty of  trying too much with the ball at his feet when the better option would have been to play the simple pass. I still don't rate Stewart he's tidy enough ,but a midfield pairing of him and Allen struggled to retain the ball when Watford had a spell of control.

Both of them are not anywhere near the quality needed to wrestle away the oppositions grip on the game. Stewarts a fighter and he battles for the ball well enough ,but enough sides in both the Premiership and Championship have one of those ,games will be few and far between for the lad when we have Grujic ,Can and whoever else the manager gifts us with.

Mignolet Lucas and  Skrtel were both solid ,and without their intervention in a host of Watford chances it could have been a very different score line,so for that reason they share the top man award.

Last word must go on the atmosphere at Anfield ,muted would  be an understatement ,abysmal would some it up perfectly !

If it wasn't for Mignolet producing a couple of good stops and one brilliant tip away save things could have been quite different. We had twice the possession enjoyed by Watford and yeah we won 2-0 but there were periods in the game, especially early on when it was Watford who looked more threatening.

Not complaints though, overall we did well enough.

Good result from the mainly second string. Clever team selection from JK. Shame that Ibe seems to be going backwards. Ojo looks as if he has a big future. Take the 3 points and move on.
