pretty nervous 2nd half....For some unknown reason....Bit of luck....But we deserve this...Hopefully Sturridge will be back in 2 month :)

Got the job done in the end. Bit of a scrappy game and lacklustre 2nd half.
Through to the knockouts, well done lads.

abit of a weird game...

It's a good result but the performance was actually boring... The one touch passing was gone, the pressing was gone, the energy was gone. If we had conceded in the end it'll look like one of Rodger's games this season. The usual animation from Klopp was also not there.

Makes me think maybe Klopp didn't want to push the team too hard and reserving the energy for the league game.

Yeah i noticed that aswel. There were few sparks but up until the 55th or 60th min bordeux had most of the possession and were pressing more than us.
I did find the 2nd half boring aswel.

Was a poor game not helpded by a bad referreing performance.

I know Mignolet messed up but usually a ref will warn you to hurry up but he squared it by awarding us a soft pen.

Shades of Drogba with the brilliant Benteke strike but apart from that he was ordinary like everyone else.

We won with something in hand though and nice to qualify as I genuinely still enjoy the Europa and would love us to win it.

Prem teams progressing will do good for Europe spots.

Thts a good result coming after the Citeh game, don't worry. The focus will be back for the Swansea game.

Good Result - Disappointing Performance.

Thought Bordeaux looked sharp and for the most part quicker than us, fortunately for us they were bereft of quality when it came to the finish

In game run by a ref bent on turning football into a strictly non contact sport our only moment of quality was Benteke's goal.

Wasn't a classic performance by any means but at least it's another win which will hopefully breed more confidence and whatever happens now against Sion in a fortnight's time we will be guaranteed European football after Christmas so job done really.
When Jurgen took over we weren't in that great a position in the group so we've done quite well to turn things around to the extent that we've now qualified with a game to spare.
Don't forget the winners of this compo go into the CL so to get through to the knockout stages without really extending ourselves is a big positive.

What on earth are you talking about? He held the ball too long. Firstly, if the team made themselves available to receive the ball a touch quicker he'd not have to hold onto it, then from the resulting free kick they scored, it was a good free kcik but the guilty party for it going in was LOVREN! he ducked out of the way of the ball!

Mig is still a top quality keeper and you know it.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree there. Ming-Mong is not a top quality keeper. And he never was.
He's p1sh. Always has been.

He's an excellent shot stopper but it does have to be said that there are flaws in his game.

Missed the game (again) due to being away, but pleased we've made it to the knock outs. The Europa will start to get more interesting now as the dross is sent packing and the demoted CL teams come into the mix. I'm hopeful we'll make the semis, at the very least.

Notice lots of stick for Migs, but he's not THAT bad. He's certainly not world class, but he's above average.
