Nice little Suarez-esque move by Firmino there.

interesting to see Clyne at left back. I'd wager that Klopp is already looking at ways to get around the Moreno problem..

Only listening on the radio, but all sounds very positive tonight in terms of the quality of our play - Ibe, Firmino, Clyne etc.

Some good performances....Origi is still rubbish though...

Texeria and Firmino played alright, Clyne and Bogdan, pretty average those apart.

Nice to get the win and an upgrade on Kazan and Southampton, bigger fish to fry going forward and improvement.

we'd have put it to bed long ago if we had a half decent striker. Thought Firmino was very good and pushing for Coutinho's place against Saturday.

Considering the team we had out and the amount of changes to the line up I thought we did okay. Good to see the likes of Firmino and Ibe starting to look like they are finding a bit of form as well.

EDIT - Southampton away next round

Delighted we got our first win under Klopp and especially given the side we fielded. I thought Firmino had his best game yet and showed some promise. Texiera had a good  game also and hopefully earned himself a chance of featuring in the league, A very composed display from the lad. I thought those 2 were our best performers tonight.

Its a good win albeit against a lower side but we have struggled in games like that so delighted we are in the QF.

I thought Bogdan was pretty good too. Solid back up.

Like others have said, if we had a striker with even an ounce of talent on the pitch it probably wouldn't have been so close.
Maybe origi should borrow hendo's hair style.

Capital One Cup quarter-finals

Middlesbrough v Everton

Southampton v Liverpool

Stoke City v Sheffield Wednesday

Manchester City v Hull City

We've got a good chance to get a trophy. Would have been good if City were knocked out aswel.

i don't see it as such a big chance to be honest. southampton away will be a very tough match considering our current form. you would expect everton, stoke and man city to also make the semis. any one of those are also more than capable of beating us. we're seeing improvements but there's still plenty of work to do.
