OK...that's it. Lots seems lacking everywhere. Don't looked like we were playing against 10 men for 2/3 of the match. Verdict: Below average/poor

Poor result against 10 men  Largely due to a serious lack of quality in the side. We are made up of far too many poor and average players.

Not a disaster, but lots to improve on all over the pitch.

I'm pleased with the work rate, chasing the ball and working hard. But our lack of quality is clearly evident and Klopp has a lot of work to do until January.

Like watching glue dry....Against a weak 10 man team no ideas....Depressing...Didn't get any rythem going...players look anxious rusty not focused....Didn't like the subs at all...Oh well at least we didn't lose.

We are playing quicker football and using the full backs to great effect. Only problem tonight was the in the final 3rd. Poor crossers, lack of creativity, and lack of a goalscorer. Klopp has inherited a average team with a couple of stand out players... it looked like a Rodgers performance, because it was a Rodgers team. Things will gradually get better over time guys.

Who in our team could just swing the results our way in games such as these? Hardly anyone worth mentioning...Coutinho (far too inconsistent), Sturridge (far too fragile) then who else?

That's what we are lacking but United, Chelsea and City have, and over the course of a season, we will never compete in a million years unless all 10 players peak at the same season and play out of their skin. Think Klopp realised that now, and FSG can start signing cheques

2nd game, with ALL BR's players so what do you honestly expect? we can definitely see the players tried harder but the quality just isn't there

This also highlighted how seriously bad BR's recruitment strategy was...but nothing 3 marquee players couldn't change tho. I have to say it's £200+ million mostly down the drain by persisting with average, and that's FSG's fault starting with an average manager then recruited budget average players.

So much for the big welcome, after all the excitement surrounding his appointment I bet Klopp was at least expecting a decent round of applause from our fans!
As for the performance itself I'm afraid we've all seen this movie before, we badly lack end product, I've been saying it for years but our midfield just isn't good enough. If Jurgen has learned anything from tonight it's just how big a job he has got on his hands.

If I can focus on the subs...Why against a 10 man team would you sub a dm for a dm ? Why get your only creative mf even if he had a weak game out? Should have been Ibe  Benteke and Firmino for Allen Origi and Milner...

Coutinho has gone off the boil. Is the one that makes us tick. However I've said it before and I'll say it again, he has purple patches in a season where everyone is raving about him but for me,  he has far too many games where he just doesn't turn up. I know he is still young but really want to see some consistency

If Klopp didnt know the size of the job here he does now, and I honestly dont think even he could comprehend how a football club can spend 300m not including huge salaries and get it so catastrophically wrong.

He wont sleep tonight on the back of that, all the hype brought crashing to earth by a performance bereft of anything at all, not a single positive.

I know the Kop love Sakho and wax lyrical about Can but two bang average footballers there amongst many, even Couthino has shot his bolt.

Unless Sturridge can turn into Suarez we are well and truly stuffed and sweeping change required, starting in January.
