Sturridge has been awful the last 2 games, mind you Sterling hasn't been any better.
Ibe probably needed a rest but I'm surprised not to even see him on the bench, he could have been handy to bring on if we were chasing the game.
I'm gutted that Sakho hasn't made it as well, Aguero absolutely ripped Lovren to shreds at the Etihad and you can bet your bottom dollar that City will be trying to push him on to Dejan again.
Unrealistic I know at this stage of the season but it's just a pity that we never had a full squad to pick from, I think our best XI would beat these, especially at Anfield.

Poor desicion to leave Danny out

Apart from some individual brilliance, I can't see any other way of scoring against these with that line-up. Would have also preferred Toure instead of Lovren. Not too excited with that line-up TBH. I would be happy to take a draw.

Very unlucky with injuries for this one against a vey good team. Will we miss Ibe and Lucas as well as the leadership of Steve Gerrard.

Just hope City's first half humiliation against Barca has done more damage than our hapless display against Besiktas.

Not easy, thanks to the European match and away traveling, and an early start. Gerrard, Lucas, sakho injuries have weakened our  squad at this crucial time in the season. Still, can only see a red win. Let's do this!

Very entertaining first half both attacks look dangerous, Sterling and LAllana a bit wasteful and could have scored ,Coutinho superb ,defense look shakey and restless. Just hope we can keep the same energy on the second half.
