2nd half? they should have been playing proper football in the 1st half. BR has shown again that he is not up to it. Nothing to be proud of with this performance. LFC have lost millions because of this, and don't even look like making it to top 4

Last 20 minutes it was anfield playing not about players nor tactics surely not because of the manager. The reason he will be released is that the owner won't trust him with one more pound this coming January.

Yes it was but it shouldn't have been like that, he should have played an attacking team from the start but he went defensive and handed all the initiative to Basle. Really poor management and tactics IMO

5 points in 6 games of the easiest group.. it's definitely not good enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if he played our starting line up tonight against utd, he does like to prove his point.

That could be it for Rodgers. We improved at the end, but only a little and that due to motivation from Stevies free kick. There was still no quality. The team should have been fired up from the start, all guns blazing, two or three up by half time. But no. We go for a team almost devoid of pace and creativity, using two DMs and hope to nick a 1-0 or something.
I'm utterly dismayed at what has happened to us. The financial repurcussions and consequent effect on the quality of the squad will be too much. There are very few, if any positives left in BR's column.

It wouldn't have been deserved but still gutted that we didn't win that in the end. It would have been one for the history books that's for sure. Oh well, at least we had fun these last 10 minutes or so.

What the second half proved is we do have the players to compete if the right team is selected and they are given the freedom. What it also proves is that Lambert shouldn't get near the first team as he stifles our attack.

We lack pace in the side and it's obvious to see.
We are so slow when we have the ball and its frustrating to watch. Moreno, Markovic, Coutinho and Sterling are the only players with pace and all 4 should be playing more often.

Return to CL has been an absolute disaster. One win to show for and even that was scraped against one of the weaker sides in the competition. Not sure FSG will tolerate this. Utd will be full of confidence and the players are going to have to put in a performance to save their managers job Imo. Just so despondent right now but not that surprised

Can't argue with that, on paper our starting XI always looked a bit on the conservative side and that proved to be the case but that shouldn't detract from the performance those 10 players put in second half.

That was absolutely brutal for the most part and the push at the end kind of makes worse.

But, at least, Steven proved why he should still be on the pitch.

It's all gone so terribly wrong this year and for a Liverpool fan watching this stuff, I swear it's taking years off of me. But to be honest, I don't think they'd be doing that much better, even if Daniel was fully fit. There's something rotten on the inside.

I said at the beginning of Rodger's tenure, that fancy, agreeable, words are all well and good, but if they don't show on the pitch, it's all just hot air. Well, my faith is really shaking and deteriorating and with every match the air is looking hotter and hotter.
