We can moan all we want, but its not just us.  The gap between Europe's elite and the English clubs is huge at this point.  The top players don't want to come to the PL anymore.
Chelsea are the only team able to compete in this competition and thats more to do with their ability to park a bus than anything else.

They have beaten us with ease and I imagine they'd do the same to any other English side as well.

Insanely talented squad they have.

Watching Glen play can lead to blindness...How he is able to trick so many managers to play him year after year is mind boggling.

Let's face it, the reason we had a pedigree in Europe in 2000's is down to rafa's tactics...

YNWA and virtually a full stadium at final whistle. That's why I love this club.

We get comfortably turned over by the best team in the planet, yet us supporters still show that legendary support. True class.

Exactly, we all know we are miles behind Madrid.
They can spend over 100m on 1 player.

Shame we are not as solid as madrid at the back.. Better second half but we just could not get through Madrids back line. They were better than us in every department.

At least he is out of his depth against Real Madrid, Enrique has had his @rse handed to him by Basel and QPR

That's awful news tbh, Ludogrets are ahead of us now and we'll probably have to go there and beat them if we want to qualify. We barely scraped past them at Anfield, they gave Madrid a tough game at their place too, Madrid needed a dodgy pen to get past them. We are up against it now.

Losing to Basel really dealt us a big blow. Winning in Bulgaria is going to be pretty tricky.

Think we will be ok in Bulgaria. We will know it's a must win game and plus Sturridge will be back
