Image VS Image

Premier League business resumes Saturday and our visitors are WBA. No such slip ups today though as the Reds will dominate and pull off a thrashing. The lads have to up the tempo and play like a team, like the team last season!

Lets put the negativity behind us and support our lads! COME ON LIVERPOOL!

LFC 4 vs 0 WBA  (Ballotelli 2, Sturridge, Sterling)

Whatever we are doing at the moment just isn't working so instead of flogging a dead horse (i.e playing the same formation and ending up with the same results) I'd try something different and experiment with 3 at the back. Also Gerrard proved against West Ham that 3 games in a week is beyond him these days so I'd bring Lucas in.

                                 Mingolet

              Manquillo      Lovren       Skrtel

                     Henderson        Lucas

    Sterling                  Lallana                Moreno

                    Sturridge         Balotelli

Whatever happens whatever team we play whoever scores the goals come 5pm tommorow there will need to be another 3 points for us

We should have 11 players on that pitch who will turn up and be the bes in that position that we have available and that includes the manager. If he isnt strong enough to make the right descions for the good of this club then he knows where the door is.

There are loyal fans at this club that travel to see them week in week out to europe and should not have to put up with the ***** we have been witnessing this season

Although I want Rodgers to rest Gerrard, I don't think that he will do it. It would be logical to bench him, since he has played a few games in a row and maybe he can't take the tempo at that age, but IMO Rodgers will opt not to because:

1. What if we lose? We're in a mini crisis, and the way Rodgers must see it, this is definitely no time to rest your captain and experiment, especially since we've got only Lucas to play instead of him. If something bad happens tomorrow and Gerrard doesn't play, there will be even bigger pressure on Rodgers and the media will not spare him.

2. But outcome number two might give Brendan even a bigger headache, and that's: What if we win? And perform well too. Had we not been in such a bad form right now, winning without Gerrard wouldn't matter too much. But we are, and if we play well and win tomorrow, then it will be evident that Gerrard is a big reason for our bad form, and it will become obvious that giving a 34 year old such a key role in our system isn't such a great idea. Rodgers will have to start thinking about easing Stevie out of the starting 11 a lot sooner than he thought he'd have to, and he knows that that won't be an easy task since Gerrard has at least the same amount of power as our manager in this club.

Basically, resting Gerrard will be a lose-lose situation for Rodgers, regardless of tomorrow's game outcome. Still hope he does it though.

One or two journo's are saying that Balotelli is going to be dropped for this one with Lambert replacing him.
If true that's a shocking piece of man management, with his comments to the press midweek and now this it looks like Rodgers is trying to pin all the blame for our poor start on Mario.

Whoever plays we quite simply need to win 3 points, United play Everton tomorrow and Chelsea play Arsenal so there is an opportunity there to make some ground on at least 2 of our rivals.

Very strange, Lambert has been the poorest of our strikers and in the league cup game he was awful. Why is Sturridge not even on the bench
