Tactically inadequate. The frustrating part is not the loss but simple the bankruptcy of idea on Rodgers' part to change things around when facing inferior teams who will come here and hell bent on parking their bus. Simply pushing Gerrard in a more advanced position is not helping as he offered almost nothing to the team. We need energy and penetration which is what Sterling can offer but why Brendan can't see this until the 60th minutes? He then took out Lallana who did ok. Markovic was sorta lost but why took out Mario and replaced him with two static players and gave away any and all initiative to Villa...very surprised with how naive Brendan was, and apparently he is too stubborn to learn from last season against Chelsea.

In the post match interview you can hear laughing and music behind the screen halfway through the interview. is that interview done in the players dressing room? If so the players seemed too happy and easy going with the loss.

I thot it was generally agreed to have Lee to start all our match threads? Don't mend anything that's not broken guys even if you feel the itch to do so  :bump

Come on mate you know it's your fault :D

Seriously though, I really think that Lee should start our match threads. Not that I'm superstitious or anything, but I'd rather not leave anything to chance :D
