Team for tonight - Mingolet, Kelly, Toure, Coates, Robinson, Lucas, Allen, Hendo, Sterling, Ibe, Lambo.

Not the most exciting of line ups but we do have to play again on Monday.

I'm curious why we're playing Toure so much. It sounds like he'll be with us again next year (hopefully just for early capital one and FA cup games), but I find it strange he's played so much, unless we're having that many injury issues? I like seeing the younger guys in too, but it seems like the new guys like Can should be playing, and Markovic and lallana if they weren't injured.

It makes it a bit hard to get excited when we put out a team like this.

Understandable that we're keeping some of our starters fresh(er) for the final. Would have liked to see Flanagan at RB and perhaps Agger/Skrtel partnering Coates but a decent lineup with all considered.

city really put us in pole position to make it to the final. 3 way tie with Olympiakos and city, but we have the worst goal difference of the group. So we need at least a draw, and with Milan playing just about a full strength side they clearly aren't rolling over for us.

It's the head to head record that counts, not the goal difference. We're going to play in the final regardless of what happens in this one hence the weakish team. Milan are so Sh*t though they can't even beat this team. Nice goal by Allen.

Poor Ricky, that won't be good for his confidence.

Yea I didn't realize that until just now. Thanks.

Did he just take his own shirt off? Not sure what the f*ck that was all about. This ref has been terrible. That foul he called on Sterling when essien lunged at him, quite a few smaller calls that seemed clearly wrong. That yellow car on Kelly because Pazinni took his shirt off. I didn't think that should have been a pen either.

Looked at the final group tables and I cant make head nor tail of how the points are awarded i.e we won 3 and have 8 points,  Olympiakos won 2 and have 5 points, meanwhile City won only 1 and also have 5 points.

Can someone explain the system ?

Three ponts for a win in 90 minutes, if it goes to penalties the winner gets 2 points and the looser 1 point.

Well done lads, might mean nothing with a mostly backup team but 2-0 is a good effort.

I expect a tough game in the final.
