Skrtel ya ***** liability! We've been a bit lucky in this one so far. Need to score another, no way this defense can keep a clean sheet.

We're very lucky we're stilling winning this. We need to get control back of this, because at this moment it's just Mignolet kicking the ball up, they winning every arial duel and then passing it around until something is created… It looks like they're Liverpool and we're AFC Bournmouth in the FA cup. We can barely get a touch.

We just seem completely unaware… I mean Johnson was clueless on that play, and clearly our midfielders were as well as they weren't tracking back to get in there. Also noticed Flanno was just at a slight job to get back after losing out on the challenge- he needs to get back a lot quicker than that..

Gotta get some width in the middle of the park... I'd bring on Sterling for Coutinho or Allen and move Suarez to the left....

I think that the plan was to score and then shut them off, which is usually the right tactic, but for us it's something unfamiliar. We're not used to defending like this, hence the players looking confused. I really couldn't care less how we win this though, as long as we get the three points, so so far so good I guess.

Has to be sterling for coutinho... the wee man's been poor so far...and Henderson is wasted on the right.

I think that our main problem in a game like this is not having a proper DM. Could have really used Lucas in this one.

Not happy with the amount of possession Southampton are having.

Do we know how to slow down a game and keep the ball ?   

If it carries on like this I won't be surprised if we get found out.

Oppo can't score if they don't have the ball, why the fk are we gifting it to them with some poor passing and overly ambitious decisions ?

Slow it down and take control FFS !   

Coutinho and hendo's passing has been awful and Gerrard is absolutely anonymous, if he doesn't up his game in the first 10 minutes of the next half Rodgers should just take him off and replace him with someone with more legs, even if they are shyte at least they'll run around and help Hendo and Allen try to stem the tide.
Johnson has probably been our best outfield player so far which tells you how bad everyone else is playing.
Great piece of opportunism from Luis but there's no way this score line will stay the same unless Rodgers does something drastic.

That's exactly what I've been thinking… We need to stop attacking them down the center like we have… That doesn't work against anybody, much less a good cohesive side like Southampton. Get Sterling in and get him down the sides instead of forcing it down their throat every time and consistently losing the ball within 5 or 10 seconds of the start of our attack.

We leak goals, and if we continue to play like we have, this game will not end the way we want it to. Defense is all over the place as well, I don't think any of the four of them have been very good.
