Anfield a touch subdued ,and our best player in the first half was Alberto by some distance ,mystified why he was withdrawn ,but we
did look more solid when Lucas was introduced. ...Aspas showed some fine touches in and around the box and his goal was a sweetly
taken half volley. Gerrard seemed  sluggish and was off the pace, which can be expected due to his lay off ,but he hit some truly
wasteful balls which just went out of play ,although one ball  was deliciously hit  it has to be said. Sterling looked our best player and
sent in some brilliant balls that should have been slotted.

Agger left the field with no substitutes to replace him ,kind of bemusing how he was allowed to carry such a debilitating injury for so
long before being withdrawn with no cover  ???

Last word Mose's was completely abysmal ,possibly the worst performance of the season ,and that includes Johnson.

We move on ,Bournemouth or Burton next up.

He wasn't too bad ,but took a bad whack to the head later in the game ,which sort of threw his game off a bit.

I don't like the look of things in the transfers now that the market is opened. This time last year, we've signed Sturridge already. Now almost one week into the window, all are still very quiet. If we are going to remain with this thin squad without the  much needed quality additions this window esp. in the wing back positions, playmaker and another striker, forget about winning both the FA Cup and finishing 4th. Our squad is not deep enough to achieve both feats. Imagine the team against Oldham with Coutinho, Suarez, rested. Do you think that team can win against the likes of Chelsea , Arsenal or Everton? Highly unlikely IMO.

I hope to see us signing M.Diame from W.Ham, M.Salah from Basel, Montoya from Barcelona. These 3 guys together with Suarez, Coutinho, Sterling, Stevie will surely make our attacking football the most explosive and exciting in the PL.

Last year was unusual, the vast majority of all transfer window deals happen towards the end of the window.

anyone who is genuinely disappointed we have signed anyone yet needs to get a reality check.

You wait over two years for a routine boring 2-0 win and then two come along at once.  :D
