Make no mistake, this was probably our most important game of the year, and we won it by scoring 5 goals. I don't think that our performance was as good as most here make it to be and I agree with what fivecups is saying, but 5 freaking goals is 5 goals and 3 points are 3 points.

Only 2 behind Arsenal now.

Absolutely brilliant every single one of them. Henderson on that display should be going to the World Cup. He was immense.

What a stunning display that was from Liverpool, as good as anything for many a year.

Every player and the manager deserve enormous credit and I think we have put AVB out of a job tonight.

Gerrard will be nervous about his place in the team now  :)

Except for a few good breaks the result could have been very different.

The whole team was superb. But I just have to point out that Glen Johnson needs some working on. He made some critical errors in the first half.

The first half is the best the team have played all season, second half a bit more scrappy, not the focused attacking intent, but brilliant!

they hadnt even got a shot on target for the 90 mins  :no
we where excellent value for that today, they were never in it at all.

Every single player was fully switched on for this one

Gotta give 10 out of 10 to all the players and the manager, don't know what he said but it worked.

One of the best performances against "serious" opposition, home or away, we've produced for a long long time.

Dubious decision to send Paulinho off changed the game IMO.

Spurs were awful, I don't disagree, but a few ref decisions went against Spurs, a loose ball that could have went anywhere fell on Henderson's leg and a few other situations are enough for me to say that we were a bit lucky. Don't misunderstand me, we totally deserved to win but I don't think that we were as good as everyone else makes it.

Regardless, we won the most important game of the year, nothing else matter.
