Well I'm not gonna call for the managers head after losing at Old Twatford it's not the forst time we've lost there. We could deffo have got something out of this game but in terms of team selection his performance was reflected in the teams first half display, uninspired and not good enough. If only he'd had the confidence to field a team to go for it from the off it could have been a different story.[/quote]

Every criticism of the manager cannot be adjudged a call for his sack. The fact that u seem to accept a loss at OT as normal is telling!

If you're gonna quote me at least try and get your quotation marks right.

Accepting a loss away to Man U as "normal"  doesn't mean I'm not disappointed with the result but lets face it NOT winning away to Man U  has been pretty much normal in recent years . You however seem to be suggesting that based on this result in order to progress we should sack the manager.

As for your assertion
The fact that u seem to accept a loss at OT as normal is telling!
the only thing that "tells" is that I pay a bit more attention to form and previous history than you.

:no

The biggest mistake was not starting with Sturridge, in terms of just application and desire with the exception of Suarez he was head and shoulders above the rest of the team.

Not starting with Sturridge was a bit understandable. He's a fresh player and doesn't know his teammates that well.
Starting with Allen who has been poor for moths now instead of starting with Henderson who has been in better form for a month or so is not understandable. Adding the fact that Allen, who has little or no creativity at all, was played as a creative midfielder playing even further than Gerrard makes it even worse. Playing a player out of form AND in a role that doesn't suit him is in no way understandable.

agreed.

For sure, it's a disapointing result, but the second half was really good. But we need another wide man, as Stirling is too young and still developing his trade.  We can't rely on him too much, otherwisde (like today) when he's not on form we struggle

We showed them too much respect first half and some boys even looked a bit nervy, certainly
Allen did to me anyway.

I always feel the best way to approach games at United is to just have a go because they are
masters at picking holes in defences and something always drops for them.

When we did decide to have a go and introduced Sturridge we looked dangerous and they
backed off but by then the game was all but lost unfortunately, too little too late.

The positives for us is players are coming back and Sturridge and Suarez shows signs of
a good partnership there and overall I was not that dissapointed today and United can
really put teams to the sword but we gave them a good game.

our starting eleven cost us the game, the subs were great but we should have had Sturridge from the start. Allen shouldn't have been starting too because Henderson had a good couple of games.
