You're delusional if you believe we can get into the top four this season.

I agree but I dont think were strong enough at this moment to fight on four fronts so I would rather we do better in the league

Sorry mate but I don't agree.

Winning the league cup every season does not satisfy the need. At some point we need to take a league finish seriously, whether we make it first season or not is irrelevant because a CL pursuit will take more than a season.

I'm willing to give up cup exits for a return to European elite competition. You?

Would rather went for this trophy than the Europa, less games for our depleted squad. Doesn't matter now, we're out of it - shame we couldn't have put up a decent fist of it though considering we're reigning champs of this comp.  :(

just heard brendans post match excuses. Weve only got one striker he says. Well who came in first day of his appointment and basically already made his mind up that carroll wasnt in his plans. so please now dont keep using the same excuse over and over again. Because you royally fecked that up from day one. No-one to blame but yourself on that one.

I dont want excuses
He put a second string side out with his best players on the bench then brought them on to save the match- again
He has to stop doing this because it doesnt work. Play your strongest team first, get the lead, then bring them off.
Serious naive error there

to be fair to rodgers after what happened to kenny last season you cant blame him for prioritising the league.
winning the league cup didnt keep kenny in a job.

I didn't get to see the match but I couldn't work out what formation we played, was it 4-3-3, surely not 4-4-2 ?

Did Cole play (perhaps that's the wrong word) wide in a front 3, who played midfield with Allen and Shelvey ? Downing ?

It doesn't sound like we had the right combination of players on the field to play the normal Rodgers 4-3-3, is this why we were so bad ?

the owners declared the winning of "meaningless" trophies is not the priority ......qualifying for the champions league cash cow is the only thing that matters in football.....
