Hearts v Liverpool, Thursday 23rd August

Its going to be very interesting to see how the team bounces back.

I'm guessing we'll see Agger start, as I don't think he'll be appearing for us for 3 or 4 weeks. I expect to see him alongside Coates as I think Carra will be playing on the weekend. Assuming Enrique is still out, Robinson must start.

Further forward I think Carroll has to be given a start, with a decent backing band, but with opportunities for the likes of Shelvey and Sterling too.

Why must Robinson start.

Both Johnson and Kelly are better despite the last games performance. If anything we must persist with the same team, as much as possible, to iron out creases and get the team to gel further.

Continue to play the strongest side possible.

Not sure how I started a thread about Leeds...

I think it would be a mistake to play a team of kids, but I think we should rotate some players. Perhaps 'must' is too strong a word, but I think games like these are ideal for developing the likes of him. It wasn't a comment on Johnson's ability at LB, he has played well there before and will again.

I think we need a mix of experience and fresh hungry talent

Would definitely start assaidi to get him some game time in a reds shirt. Also would start with Lucas and Allen so they can get some kind of partnership going probably with Henderson joining them in the middle.

I wouldn't go with Agger as we need to prepare for the city game so a cb pairing of Skrtel and Coates

                          Reina
Johnson.     Skrtle.   Coates.   Robinson

                     Lucas.  Allen

                       Henderson
Assaidi                                     Sterling
                             Carroll

I thought that was the reason we signed him, so he can play in these cup games.
