Kenny has gone for cars due to him coming from Liverpool and will be well up for this and will put him life on the line to win the game. As for Henderson. He had a good last game.

No enrique????? Big decision

Kenny's lineups are a joke. Carra starting as what? I assume a RB ,meaning we have Johnson not playing his natural position..Where is Enrique Even Aurellio? and FFS Hendo again where are Maxi or Jonjo?
For once can't he place his best players at their natural places? Really poor managing job this season.

Ok ,let's focus on positive energy and fck them up will have time for summeries later on.

That line up smacks of 3-5-2 with Johnson and Downing as wing backs. Risky but does allows players like Henderson to play more central.

The only reason I would have considered Carroll for this one would have been his aerial prowess in defending setpieces. Other than that we usually keep possession and control games much better without him in the side. Carragher's inclusion is gamble regardless of the reasoning imo.Enrique has arguably been one of our better players this season (despite his relative dip in form recently) and Agger/Skrtel have been excellent when partnered in the middle.

Henderson down the right flank is yet another curious decision. Any of Maxi, Bellamy, or Kuyt would have been better options imo.

The way we've set up it seems our main aim would be to hit Carroll with the long ball and/or getting Downing and Johnson to put in early crosses. Not sure it's our best option on the night given the opposition but if it works you cant question him or his selections.

really can't figure this one out, is carra playing at fullback? surely he'd be more left sided than glen johnson? I wouldn't have played him at all, skrtel looks like a different player when carras beside him, all nervous and jittery, if he makes a mistake carras gonna be jumping down his throat as usual...

downing and henderson again?? can't believe he left out bellamy and kuyt, two players for the big days.

I try to have patience with kenny but he doesn't make it easy...

Maybe they'd had a sneak peek at Kenny's team sheet, and decided they'd rather be elsewhere...

Agger at LB... Skrtle and Carragher at CB... why not Skrtle and Agger?

LINE-UPS

Liverpool: Jones, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Henderson, Gerrard, Spearing, Downing, Suarez, Carroll.
Subs: Gulacsi, Jose Enrique, Maxi, Kuyt, Shelvey, Kelly, Bellamy.

Everton: Howard, Neville, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Osman, Gibson, Fellaini, Gueye, Cahill, Jelavic.
Subs: Hahnemann, Hibbert, Jagielka, Stracqualursi, McFadden, Coleman, Anichebe.

Referee: Howard Webb (S Yorkshire)

Looking at that subs bench, the selection just looks even more confusing. Kelly and Enrique on the bench while we have 3 CBs starting, one of whom has been dissapointing more often then not when played. Especially when you take into consideration how far back we have to defend when Carra is present and you add the fact that we are starting our 3rd backup goalkeeper. You'd think we'd attempt to keep the ball for as much as possible and avoid giving them the chance to control the game.

Maxi and Kuyt on the bench. Both are players who are much much more effective starting a game than coming off the bench. Bellamy I understand being on the bench, he can come on and make a difference but Kuyt and Maxi I just dont see it happening.

Regarding Everton, that looks their strongest lineup (Gueye is a bit of a gamble defensively) and both Heitinga and Fellaini have been excellent recently. Obviously Baines is their main danger man and Henderson/Johnson will need to try to prevent him from getting the ball in the box.

Well it shows that for the owners LFC is not as important as Red Sox... they miss an FA cup semi-final with Everton for first home match game of Red Sox?  :no

then again it's baseball and americans...

Apparently this is the red six first home game of the season and they have lost 5 of their first 6 games so far.

Remember they are as involved in baseball as they are with us. Arguably more
