LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - Saturday 3rd march 12:45 ko

This is going to be a very tough game for us. Arsenal showed great mental strength to come back from 2-0 down, to win 5-2 against Spurs in their last match, despite missing several players. They do have the creativity, pace and ability to trouble any defense on their day. Even though this game is at Anfield, I don't feel so confident as their midfield is FAR better then ours, and we don't have Lucas to protect the back 4. We have to win this game to stand any chance of getting a top 4 finish, but I don't fancy our chances to be honest, as we struggle to score goals. We don't have to worry about Arshavin troubling us anymore though, as he has left Arsenal.

Liverpool Injury News
We have Daniel Agger doubtful and Lucas unavailable.

Arsenal Injury News
Jack Wilshere, Andre Santos, Per Mertesacker, Emmanuel Frimpong, Abou Diaby, Francis Coquelin and Sebastian Squillaci are most probably out.

Tomas Rosicky, Thomas Vermaelen, Kieren Gibbs, Marouane Chamakh, Carl Jenkinson and Aaron Ramsey are doubtful.

Past Results

looking forward to this one and hopefully the cup win will spur the lads on.
lots said about arsenal and their apparent defensive problems but as long as you score more than you concede then it doesnt matter.
they have shown last week that they can defend like :censored: and still emerge convincing winners,we need to be wary of that.
they have pace to burn and move the ball very quick so i expect us to sit deep and try to catch them on the counter.
i expect kenny to play spearing in this one and hopefully we will play carroll as they will struggle with him especially if mertsecker is picking him up.
                                                          pepe.
                                kelly           skyrtel        carra        enrique.

                                                    spearing
                                 bellamy              gerrard            downing.

                                               suarez           carroll.

a defeat is not an option here as it will slam that door shut on 4th for us.
2.1 to us,suarez and carroll.

6 - There have been six 90th minute or later goals scored in the last six league matches between Liverpool and Arsenal. Drama.

:O

Robin Van Persie is Arsenal's top scorer in the league, with 23 goals and around 7.6 times more than what Carroll has scored in the league.
Bellamy and Suarez are our top scorers with 6 goals each.

Okay, so our defense have to mark him, big deal...

I think we will do alright against these because they will come and attack which plays right into our hands.

They did well last week but like us have been inconsistent and we historically they do not enjoy trips to Anfield.

Liverpool win.

I'll believe that when I see it.

For the love of God, not 4-4-2. We'll get destroyed in the middle of the park like Spurs did last week where Arsenal just overran them

All in all it's a must win game. Win and we're 4 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand (the Derby). Lose and we're 10 points behind them.

It'll be a really hard game but I'll go for a 2-1 win for us.

6 of our last 12 games against them in the league have been 1-1. wouldn't surprise me if it was the same tomorrow.

we did beat them 4-2 in the CL though :p
