I know that it is Arsenal away, but come on we are almost full strength and they have had the heart ripped out of the middle of pitch, a win is a must. 2 or 1 point from the first two games is not good enough, we need to build momentum, which in turn will boost confidence. I can't think of a better time to play them. Kuyt and Johnson need to come in, we should be playing with the side that ended last season with Enrique as an addition out of necessity, and give the new lads time in the second half if we are in control. Aquilani, instead of Adam, would be ideal for this game, and I think he would link well Suarez. Prediction/ expectation 1-2 victory

The Arsenal team should look something like this:

                       Szczesny

Sagna     Koscielny     Vermaelen    Traore

              Frimpong     Ramsey

       Walcott     Wilshere     Arshavin

                      van Persie

They still have the odd bit of quality to cause us problems if we are not at our best. I agree Carroll should start especially with their dodgy keeper situation. Cech is out for 4 weeks, United's new keeper looks shaky so it looks like a race between us and City to win the league :D

Wouldn't be counting on Wilshere, he's injured. And who the hell is Frimpong?

Just had a look through the Arsenal forums & quite a few of their mob think they will win despite the depleted squad. Lots of confidence.

If we somehow find a way to stuff this one up, I won't be able to show my face around the Arsenal supporters for a while.  :blues:

I reckon we'll take them. 2-1.

I could almost put my life on us winning and putting in a really impressive performance. It seems every time I have something on and can't watch the game that we do well, maybe I should stop watching :p

Seriously, I think we'll win 2-1, I can see Van Persie scoring and for some reason I think Lucas might get one for us as well.

Seriously...with all the money spent this transfer period and since Kenny came in January and the quality that there is in the squad there is NO reason that we should not go in there and win. That Arsenal squad is heavily under-manned and depleted.

If we get anything less than 3 points it will be a huge disappointment.

Arsenal fans reckon that Frimpong is pretty special, never heard of him myself though

Well, everyone thinks if we lose its a disaster, I'll be sure to avoid this place should that happen then :D

I think we'll probably draw.  They're still not as terrible as people are making out and we're not as good yet as people are making out.

Its gonna take time before our team gels etc.

Why do people keep saying we need to gel? :P John W Henry has invested over £100m (and hopefully more) in the squad this year. At the very, very, very minumum they will want 4th spot. To get 4th spot we need to stop "gelling" and start spanking Arsenal. Henry seems a nice guy but he's a businessman. If Kenny can't deliver against a depleted Arsenal don't expect him to be in the driving seat come january.

It's only the second game of the season, but there's a heck of a lot of pressure on this game due to the draw with Sunderland. We HAVE to win and Kenny knows it. Hence my prediction of a high scoring match. No point sitting back. We gotta go for the throat and not make the same mistakes of the last game.
