So unlikely though.

CL is only possible if City lose at least 3 of their remaining 5 games. And we pick up maximum points.

I'm an optimist but even that is too much surely.

Yes, too much. Still if Westham win tonight they'll be out of the bottom three, so I might stick around for that game. Plenty to play for for both teams. And maybe Ballotelli will do something stupid.

in order to kill any slim hopes we have of claiming 4th spot, Man City needs 6 points from their remaining 5 games (65 points). the max number of points we can get is 64. should Man City somehow gather 5 points from their games, we would be on level points with them but they have a better GD. City's remaining fixtures are as follows:

West Ham Home
Everton Away
Spurs Home
Stoke Home
Bolton Away

i doubt West Ham and Stoke would take any points off them. the only teams that could possibly steal points off them are Everton and Spurs while Bolton are dark horses.

I'm starting to think Hodgson wasn't the best for us as well

Just think where we could have been if this had been the whole season. Not saying we woulda won it, but we woulda been about 15 points better off you'd have to think at least which would put us 2nd right now.. there's always next year

happy days... I'm already looking forward to next season tbh. Kenny at the helm, a fresh new squad, and finally we seem to be producing some decent players from the academy too.

Just got back, average first half but much better the second.

I actually said after 30 minutes we needed to change something on our right, they were causing us a few problems.

Johnson's experience made a lot of difference when they switched, credit to Flanagan for composing himself after his yellow card.

All in all a comfortable win, that second goal was the key.

To me, Suarez is the MOTM. He won us the penalty (but to be honest, he was only lightly pulled and he made a meal out of it and many referees wouldn't have given it). But he scored us the goal to kill off the game. He seems to be always a constant threat to the opposition and haf a hand in most of the goals we've got so far. Well done Suarez, we love you.

I absolutely adore Kenny Dalglish, just saw his post match interview, the man's a hero, feet on the ground and not getting carried away. It's all about the team, no individuals. I love this outlook, galvanises everyone
