Birmingham has only won twice away and are also missing Scott Dann for the rest of the season. McFadden, Martins and Taylor are injured as well. you can feel confident of a Liverpool victory though, as i am your new match thread hero.

we've got Johnson, Gerrard, Agger and Kelly injured while Carroll and Carragher are doubtful. Aurelio has resume duties with his physio as we all know. going on the assumption that the latter 2 will miss the game, the players available for selection are as follows:

Reina, Gulasci, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Wilson, Flanagan, Robinson, Spearing, Shelvey, Lucas, Poulson, Meireles, Maxi, Cole, Ince, Jovanovic, Kuyt, Suarez and Ngog.

average age of the squad above: 24

that's pretty damn young. interestingly, despite all the injuries, we've got an abundance of players in defense who are capable of stepping up. it's the midfield and attack that's dying for some creativity as Suarez is certainly unable to produce stellar performances week in week out, and he didn't play well against Arsenal as well.

probably Ngog will start this game with Kuyt and Suarez supporting him. and a three man midfield spearheaded by Meireles with Lucas and Spearing behind him. expect Robinson to make his full debut. perhaps Shelvey could play as well. that tackle which earned him his yellow card yesterday really reminded me of something a young Gerrard would do. this is the perfect chance for him to claim a stake in the starting line-up.

my preferred line up:

--------------------Reina
Flanagan---Skrtel---Kyrgiakos---Robinson
--------Lucas---Meireles---Spearing
----------Cole/Kuyt---Suarez
-----------------Kuyt/Ngog

Is Carroll out?

I already voted 4-0 to the reds on the LFC site.

I haven't heard anything about Carroll being out, so I'm assuming he's going to play.  He looked like he just had a little knock and they were taking precautions just in case, but nothing else has been said about Carroll as far as I've seen?

I think we'll win this, since Kenny has came in when we play at Anfield I feel like there's no way we're losing.  It would be brilliant if we could make Anfield a fortress once again and have an amazing run of results from here on out.

At the moment it actually strangely seems to suit us better to play the big teams so im quite worried about this one.

Maybe the lads just find it difficult to get motivated for the smaller games..?
Or maybe its because you need more quality/creativity when it comes to these games.

We are home.  We haven't lost home under Kenny and I don't expect that to change.  We play bad away to the not-so-great teams, but I've felt we have played really well in every home game since KK took over.

well I'm at work tomorrow so I'm missing this

3:0 Suarez or 2:1 Meireles and I'll be a happy boy
