No complaints from me

And how many of the players featured are going to be needing these fitness levels in the Premiership - more than a half dozen or so games that is?

Some of these so called "pre-season friendlies" are such a sham, they feature a sprinkling of first team regulars if you're lucky and what's the point?!?!

Still best news of the day is £4.2m for Riera, plus a bonus if his new team wins the league

Nice fitness session for the young lads :)

It showed me three things.

- Gulacsi, Shelvey, Ayala + Kelly look promising for young players.
- Degen is sh!t
- Lucas couldnt even get involved in a pre-season friendly against a team called Grasshoppers

much better type of warm up game that we had last year. not too far away from home and has more based on team building that winning the games.

ticks the right box for me.

yep and i dont think that would havegone unnoticed by Roy

bit of luck he might sell them in the next week or so.....if he can not sell them there is still a change the team bus could pull away and leave them there. lol

When I was discussing pre-season friendlies with my colleague I said we're bound to play in Austria or Switzerland like we often do, so I'm not sure this is that different to past pre-seasons.

Team building is a fine thing, but how many of that team will be in the 1st XI squad? Not many, maybe not any. Frankly that should be billed "reserves pre-season" and even that might flatter the side. That's why I'm not sledging the performance, it bears even less relation to the start of next season than pre-season friendlies usually do.

Agreed Owzat, but I'm hoping he plays some first teamers in pre season. Rafa didn't give them enough time in pre-season last summer and I think that had a negative effect on our rather sh!te start last season. No need to rush things but they should get some playing time soon
