Re. selection: I'd like to see Pacheco, Kelly and Kyrgiakos (suspended for City game) start, and maybe rest Gerrard for Aquilani.

be interesting to see what the attendance is tonight. i think they'd be a lot less people there if the tickets didn't count towards champions league games next season if we qualify to be honest.

We must take this thing seriously. I would put out the strongest team available, and rest some key players after we go 5-0 up. Come on Redmen bring home the only silverware still available! 6-1.

injuries can happen to anyone at any point in a game or in  training so never understood this idea about not playing someone just incase, ok maybe the week before a cup final if all you have is a meaningless league game or a CL group game when you`ve already qualified, but surely not now when we have something to play for.

just dont see how risking losing on thursday helps anyone when we could still lose on sunday and then be totally fooked.

We could win this one, lose on Saturday, or any number of permutations. We could put out a second string, win on Sunday and still have the SECOND LEG of the UEFA tie against Urine-A to turn it around.

The point about injuries isn't when they happen, just no point exposing players to two games in four days and increase that risk. We have been known to do badly in the league after a European night, this game on Sunday isn't just ANY GAME it is one that could shape our league season.

Why on the basis of this season and THIRTEEN defeats do people still talk as if we're favourites or certs for the semis if not final in every competition, despite not having got past the second hurdle of any cup we've entered so far - FA Cup 1st hurdle, League Cup 2nd hurdle, Champions League 1st hurdle?!?!?!? Wake up, we're barely staying alive in the league as it is without Torres, I will be fuming if Kuyt, Agger, Benayoun, Gerrard or Reina plays tonight and gets injured.

Looks like we are going to give this a real go then. I hope NGog gets on the scoresheet. Was hoping to see Pacheco but maybe in the 2nd half if we get a few.

Wouldnt be surprised if it isnt wrong, it was just that when i got sent it, the text said...think this is the team ?

I would have thought the greek would play seeing as though he is suspended Sunday anyway.

You can call them Urziceni United if that sounds better than Unirea Urziceni.

Or U2  :D
