Well the mersyside derby is here and what better way to erase our champions league heartbreak and get our season back on track than by beating the blue . Couple of questions though , will aquliani start? Will he get any playing time at all in this match? What state of mind are the players in , yes we are out of the champions league but we're still in Europe , only difference bar the obvious is now we're playing on thursday's instead of tuesday's and wednesday's. Anyways back to the match and this is how i see us lining up , assuming we've got no more injuries to date.
Reina
Johnson Agger Carragher Aurelio
Masch Lucas
Kuyt Yossi/Riera
Gerrard
Torres
2-0 , Aurelio and Torres

The line up I would LOVE to see would be:
Reina
Johnson Agger Carragher Aurelio
Masch Aquilani
Benayoun Riera
Gerrard
Torres
But Aquilani wont start, Torres probably wont, Kuyt will probably start and Aurelio will proably be at left mid

Our Premiership records at the sh 1t ho le.
Rafa : P5 W3 D1 L1 F7 A3 PTS 10 (2.00 pts/game)
Overall : P17 W7 D4 L6 F21 A20 PTS 25 (1.47 pts/game)
We lost there in the cup but won there in the league last season. Torres scored both goals last season in the league, Kuyt both (penalties) the season before in a 2-1 win. We seem to struggle more at home than away to them these days, three of the last four derbies at Anfield in all competitions have ended as draws with just five goals combined across all four games. Their loss away to Hull will count for little come the weekend, they'd love to compound our misery with any kind of result.

there flippin awful at the moment and we should be looking to kick them while were down, i fear this is make or break for our season. If we win we can build and move on to bigger and better things, lose and thats us done for the season i think. The players and staff must raise there games on the weekend and if a mersyside derby cant get you motivated then nothing can.

I think if we lose, Rafa is gone. That said I don't think we will, I think we'll get home 2-1.

Given Everton's form and Liverpool's form, this could be a borefest.
I think Liverpool need to concentrate on getting 1-0 wins for the rest of the year. 1-0 will do. That's all. Get a goal and then sit in the box and defend it. It doesn't have to be pretty football or good football. God knows we don't play good football anyway most of the time, so what's the difference.
In fact, if Liverpool concentrate on 1-0'ers, they could win the Prem!!!!!!
Get a goal...then park the bus.
Season winners! Hooray!

everton's defence is worse than ours. i'd expect us to win and i wouldn't be surprised if benayoun for aurelio is the only change from tuesday night.
who's the ref anybody know?

alan wiley is the referee. personally i don't think he's fit enough to be reffing a game of this importance
