Gerrard has had a setback in his recovery

:censored:. So will it be spearing then who comes in or is Rafa going to risk starting with Aquilani?

Rafa said Aquilani is not fit enough to start.

That leaves, Aurelio, Spearing, or Plessis to partner Mascherano.

Where's this news about Lucas? And Gerrards set back. Nothing on BBC.

This is as big a game as we gonna have all season and in some ways more important then the manc game imo if we win this could be sort of game to push on a good run if we lose all the questions will be asked agian about Rafa and with real knocking on the door how much more pressure could it take for rafa to leave.Hope we win it 2-0 but can see it being 2-2.

can't remember where I first saw it, but it was also on TIA before the Arsenal match, but they are also now saying they think he could start, which seems very strange. I would think maybe he would not have the flu anymore by the weekend, but I would think he wouldn't be able to train and thus not be fit to play.

All I am saying is that if Lucas doesn't play and we have some crazy dumb looking formation its likely down to him not being available.

dont think we'll have it all our own way down there, could be tight but cant see us losing it.
1nil or 2.1 i think.
with the lyon game coming next week id keep gerrard (if available) torres and aqua on the bench.
id play.

3 - 0 to the Reds, we're back and I suspect Fulham are going to be on teh receiving end of an excellent performance.

Torres, Yossi and Kyut.

i will ba happy with a 1-0 win tbh.. Fulham are one of those teams that could produce results from nowhere. I wonder if gerrard, riera will be fit for the match..

This will be a hard game, they gave us a tough game down there last year, and that's when we were in pretty good form too.

Duff seems to have added a bit of spark to their attacking play and a fit Duff is still one of the best attackers in the Premiership imo.  They're pretty strong in all areas but perhaps lack a quality striker.

I'm assuming Gerrard won't be fit to start this one, so I'd go with same team that beat United with hopefully Aquilani, Gerrard or both on the bench.

If we play well, we should beat them.  Let's hope the United performance wasn't a one off...

Better not be, otherwise it's going to be doom and gloom all over the place again and with one story the other day about Rafa and Madrid god knows what the papers will start coming out with.

The latest in a line of "must win" games I should think. Unfortunately we've actually lost some of the other "must win" ones and while optimism allows us to scribble out the "must" afterwards and replace it with "ideally could have done with the" instead, we're going to have to start soon.

Fortunately I think we will, and win comfortably. Even though Fulham are no mugs at Home, my score prediction is 3-0 to us, a commanding performance and lots of "where are all the c...s now" in the immediate aftermath.

Reina

Johnson - Carragher - Agger - Insua

Benayoun - Mascherano - Lucas - Aurellio

               Kuyt - Torres

If Stevie and Aquaman arent fully fit then no need to risk them - especially with the Lyon game around the corner. Plus if that team is capable of being the C...s then capable of doing a job against Fulham.

Dont know why but whenever I have been to Craven Cottage I have enjoyed it - there is something about that :censored: stand I like. :;):
