Yes the papers are reporting that Gerrard is out but Torres plays. Given the way they've both been performing, and given the available cover, out of the two that's the way you'd want it I guess. At least we could stick Benayoun in for Gerrard, whereas we obviously have nobody who can cover for Torres.

I just wonder given the situation if Rafa might be sneakily tempted to give Aquilani an hour.

I know our squad's thin... but starting with 10 players surely isn't necessary :;):

God help us!

Looking at that side it really makes me realise just how important Gerrard and Torres are to you guys. In all fairness fellas that team would struggle to finnish top 4 let alone champions and i mean that with no dis respect at all.

Liverpools problem is and has been for some time your shocking lack of strength in depth. A couple of bad knocks to your key players and You're always screwed. Whatever happened to that youth system that brought through the likes of Fowler, Owen, Carragher and Gerrard? I haven't seen a great Liverpool youth player come through since Stevie G which is a real shame.

As for the game. I'm sorry fellas but i think those scummy lot will be too strong looking at your team. I really hope i'm wrong as i hope (from a City point of view) that you share the points. And i imagine that as much as you must hate the idea of anything but beating that lot. I guess most of you would take a point right? if only to stop the rot

My prediction: Heart 1-1, Head 0-2

Sorry guys. I really hope you can prove me wrong

Strangly looking forward to this one.
This is what we need to turn our season around!

i'd go for....

                            Reina

Johnson      Carragherr    Agger     Insua

                 Mashman     Lucas

kuyt                  Benayoun         Aurelio

                           Babel

Is that because Mascha and Lucas have been so dynamic up to now, mind you we don't really have any choices, our midfield will be completley overrun by Manure, it will take a miracle to win this game but here's hoping for one, maybe just maybe the team will galvanise and play way above their individual abilities.

I'm trying to be positive here, but how can I when we just lost 4 games in a row :(

Gerrard is playing and Rooney is still out injured :S

id go with a 4-4-2

                                 Reina

Johnson         Carragher           Agger          Insua

                  Mascherano          Lucas
Benayoun                                                  Aurelio

                   Torres/Kuyt          Babel

I think their wide players will give our defenders a really tough time on the counter in this game... id look for more protection for the fullbacks by playing 4-4-2, keep it tight when defending and fairly basic going forward...  Mascherano will be key in this game i feel and we'll need to keep possession much better than we have been doing so far this season... how that will come about given the players we have available i just dont know....

Still think we'll win it though, we simply cant afford not to...

is there any news on Fergie's ban?

Nothing will happen with his ban until November 3rd.

It will start out as a suggested four game ban, be increased to six and then reduced to zero on appeal

just reading that Ronney's a doubt. That would mean Berba and Owen wouldnt it. I really dont want him to play against us with that shirt on :(
