Jamie Carra is now the weak link in our defense, am I the only one who thinks he looks past it.

The bad thing is, that I don't think its a blip, I might be talking absolute tosh, but he just looks finished.

I'm soo frickin mad right now,,,

I've supported Rafa to the hilt,,,but I haven't felt this bad since Wigan away last season,,

He's got to go,,,,I hate saying it, but he has,,   Does anybody know how much his contract is worth??

Whoever said our squad was as good as the mancs,, your talking pish,,,,
Take out the 2 Best players out of every PL squad and put them up man for man against us,, think about it,
IMHO I'd take chelski's squad, man u, arsenal, man city, aston villa, spurs, bloody hell everton and sunderlands squads even start to look ok.

have I had too much to drink?

I said this end of last season to my mate and nearly got me head torn off.  :D

I think he looked a yard short for a little while now when we used to hold the ball better it wasn't such a problem but when we having some many attacks vs us atm that yard of pace is costing us in tight areas of games.

Thank you,, at least now I know I'm not completly insane.

It should be within our capacity to perform to a level not too dissimilar from that of late last season and when the opportunity arises to bring it all together; a fully fit Agger, Aurelio, Aquilani, Riera - in addition to Gerrard/Torres, I expect us to turn it around. Until then we'll just have to dig in, hope for a bit of luck (and we're well overdue some) and hopefully do enough to keep ourselves just about in it on each trophy front.

We are due some luck. The international matches United lost one of their key players (Rooney), we lost two of ours. Even tonight, we lost gerrard (again) and Kelly. Roll on sunday.

yeh but Lakes what constitutes 'not doing the job'? he's doing the job is he not? he's not doing it wrong he's just not getting the end result right, the right job isn't necessarily always rewarded in sport is it? what results have they asked for? whatever it is it's still achievable to this day mate. Thats all I'm getting at

If we did end up in the circumstance you point out then we probably could end up gettin rid for less but your example is a little extreme

Doesnt change the fact that many - and deffo the owners - will want Rafa's head after this pathetic run of late. And I for one would for the first time agree with them.
He's lost theplot. I saw it in his indifference at the end of the Sunderland game; in his tactical ignorance in taking off Benayoun tonight and replacing him with that phuckwit Voronin; in having Voronin on the bench, never mind the squad in the first place; in even consenting to Gerrard playing when he obviously wasn't ready for it....the list goes on and on....
Rafa - take your pay-off and phuck off !

I not so sure carra is the weak link.....he might look it cause he is always covering the other Defenders, and seem to be all over the Place...but he sees what we see....the formations benitez comes up with puts him under huge pressure as teh "Brains" of the defence, he needs the assistance of the midfield, and fellow defenders to produce evey time....and well with Lucas...giving the ball away, and the opponents counter attack..he does look a bit weak....if he was really the weakest link.......goals against would be higher, Feel his defenders must gice at least 40% of his passion and drive..and he would look like the STAR we all know he is.....Prehaps religate benitez to Towel or Ball boy, and have CARRA as Player/Coach ?.....

I think you make a good point FearnlyFC.

The way Benitez sets up the team, it means that they'll be under presure rather than putting the other team under presure. Benitez favors a "wait and see" approach rather than an all out attack. He constantly plays with 1 bleedin striker (no matter who it is) for gods sake.

That means that Liverpool under benitez invites and absorbs the other teams attack more often than not. It's enormous responsibility placed on the defence.

At times (even with Nando up front) Liverpool look so blunt under Benitez, I'm dreading every game now. :(

none of us know what results he has been asked for, but having the worse run in 22years will not be it.

i would say he was asked to win something this year, the yanks dont like egg on their face when its put there by others....yet it seems ok when they put it there themselves.

In addition, Carra may be getting some flak at the moment, but tonight, Insua was absolutely terrible.

Beaten every time.

With no playmaker,no brain in the club, nothing!Defenders are not the players who should make the game, where are the midfielders??LIVERPOOL has no midfielders and no wingers, dont blame CARRA or anyone from the defenders, its not they'r blame, they can't do both.defending and be playmakers.

DO WE HAVE TO PRAY TO TORRES AND GERRARD TO WIN A MATCH???
